Head over to Savannah’s City Market where you’ll find 22 Square, a restaurant known for modern southern-inspired cuisine made from locally grown produce and sustainable ingredients. Their shrimp and grits are a favorite among visitors and is a great way to start a day of tasting the best of the best!
The Conquistador from Zunzi’s Takeout
Don’t be discouraged when you arrive at Zunzi’s on York Street and see a line down the block. This eclectic walk up eatery serves up some serious sandwiches that are known to get messy. A combination of Swiss, Italian, South African and Dutch, Zunzi’s brings together flavors that are unique and delicious. Travel Tip: Don’t pass up on the Sh*t Yeah Sauce — it’s a must-try!!
Pork Belly Donut Slides from Ordinary Pub
Yep, you read that right! This dish is all kinds of right. Slow-cooked pork belly and bacon onion jam is layered between freshly baked Baker’s Pride donut buns. (If time allow it, you might want to head over to Baker’s Pride and taste their freshly made donuts, cakes and sweets. They have made quite a name for themselves among locals.) Having trouble finding Walls BBQ on your Google Maps? Don’t be alarmed. This small family-owned restaurant is the definition of “off the beaten path” and serves up some of the best BBQ in Savannah. This wood shed turned restaurant is nestled in a quiet alley off York Lane. The menu changes daily and you’ll know when they’re out of a dish when the name is jumbled on their magnet whiteboard menu. Be sure to say hello to Teresa behind the counter! She’s been perfecting these family recipes since she was 13 years old and we wouldn’t want her to change a.single.thing.

We’re sure you’ve heard of the popular Tupelo Honey, but did you know that there are hundreds of different types of honey? Savannah Bee Company has mastered the art of the bees and bottled up their sweet honey, making their products the perfect souvenir or gift to remember your trip by. Head over to their flagship store on Broughton Street, where you can taste a variety of honey products like whipped chocolate honey, mead wine and perfectly-baked Savaklava shortbread cookies.
