Lucky Local

One of the best things about traveling is bringing something home that will remind you of your trip. Yes, you could stop by any gift shop and grab your typical Savannah T-shirt, magnet, or mug. Or, you can stop in to one of Savannah's many local boutiques, gift shops, or lesser known hidden gems and grab a genuine, made-in-Savannah gift for you or a friend. We think it’s time to reinvent the idea of a souvenir! We went to our favorite shops to find the top Savannah Souvenirs you (or whoever you might be bringing one home for) will actually cherish once the vacation haze has lifted.

1. The Gift Shoppe by Polka Dots

Step inside this quaint boutique off of Broughton Street to find Savannah maps, Savannah postcards, drink koozies for our open container law, puzzles and even embroidered Savannah pillows! It’s a one-stop gift shoppe as its name suggests.

2. The Paris Market & Brocante

This parisian boutique and brocante is a Savannah boutique and cafe you simply do not want to miss. Inspired by a love of world travel and a quirky design style, get lost in the details of all the store has to offer. The upstairs is filled with local jewelry made by Savannah artisans, retro style candy sold by the pound, art and design coffee table books, and an adorable kid's clothing and toy section. Don’t forget to wander downstairs where you can find Paris Market’s famous Savannah Candle; a statement souvenir with a subtle smell of Savannah’s Spring flora that will surely have you wishing you were walking through these historic streets long after you have gone.

3. Capital Bee Company

There's nothing sweeter than local honey! You’ve probably heard of Savannah Bee Company, but do you know about Savannah’s newest honey shop, Capital Bee Company? They specialize in truly rare single-varietal mono-floral honey. It's a mouthful to say, but in short: they're making honey right (and delicious). In addition to honey - which never expires, did you know that? - they have custom Savannah honey gift sets, candles, bath and body care.

Nourish is a local Savannah company that makes environmentally-friendly bath and body products that double as great gifts! Their handmade soaps come in a wide range of scents as do their staple item: all natural bath fizzies - which make great gifts for adults and kids! Mix & match your favorite scents with their customizable pack of six. Our personal favorite? I am sure you could have guessed: Savannah Garden! They also have soy candles, oils, lotions and any natural bath gift you fancy.

5. Hygge Savannah

First things first, let’s start with how to pronounce this little hidden Danish gem. Hygge (pronounced "hoo-gah") roughly translates to "cozy contentment" in Danish, and this shop is filled with the coziest collection of goods we know you'll want to keep for yourself! The owner has curated products that promote a greater sense of well-being by enjoying the simple things in life. Think fireplaces, throw blankets, and a steamy cup of tea. Hygge Savannah offers home goods, small gifts, and even select articles of clothing that embody a holistic approach to home, body, and mind. It is located at the far East side of Broughton Street, but definitely worth the trip.
