Description

Tucked away on a quiet street in Thunderbolt, this 1920's bungalow is just steps to the Wilmington Island River and is a short drive to Tybee Island, Savannah's Historic District and much more!

Upon arriving to Waterway Bungalow you'll find a large porch with a swing, which is quintessential here in the South, and also an intimate spot to enjoy your morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail. Inside, the open living space boasts with natural light from windows on each wall, and also features comfortable plush sofas, a smart flat-screen television, and heart of pine wood flooring throughout the main level.

Stepping to the back of the home, the beautifully appointed kitchen offers an ample amount of space, and all of the modern conveniences one could hope for. You'll have plenty of prep space to pack those quick beach meals, or home cooked meals for a family night in! Adjacent to the kitchen, the formal dining space features seating for six Lucky Guests.

On the opposite side of the home, guests will find two bedrooms with a large bathroom adjacent that features original tile work dating back to the 1920s! The main bedroom features a bedroom a plush queen size bed, with a large closet. The second guest room also consists of a queen size, with plenty of space to store your belongings. A dedicated off space is just across from both, which boasts natural light and is a perfect place to get caught up on your emails!

Nestled in one of the best neighborhoods In Thunderbolt, the home is a short jaunt to some local favorite restaurants like Tubby's Tank House, Erica Davis Lowcountry, and Finches. Waterway Bungalow is less than a 5 minute drive from Wholefoods, Target, Starbucks and many local antique stores!

We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more information.

Nicely maintained and equipped rental 15 to 20 minutes from most everywher in Savannah. Adequately equipped, but could supply some simple staples as in either bottled water or a brita water filter pitcher and pods for coffee maker, All in all a nice experience in a quiet neighborhood.

I would definitely stay again. Central location to our needs, Clean, well appointed. Problems: cord management, missing art, nail holes, lack of ambient lighting in living area. Picky I know, but makes an nine into a ten!
