York Lane Carriage House is a secluded retreat perfect for a romantic weekend getaway.
Located on the second floor, this spacious one-bedroom apartment offers exceptional comfort and convenience for two Lucky Savannah guests. Centrally located, all of Savannah’s rich history, excellent restaurants, entertainment venues, museums and shops just steps away.

With a thousand square feet of living space, attractive furnishings, and large east, south and west-facing windows, York Lane Carriage House is bright and inviting. The living room has plenty of space to sit and relax while watching the large flat screen TV. Open to the living room, the fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need during your stay and the nearby dining table is the perfect spot to plan your day. This property has a washer and dryer, making it ideal for extended stays. After a long day of sightseeing, you’ll come back to snuggle up under the blankets of the king sized bed. You’ll have plenty of space to unpack and settle in, plus a TV is neatly tucked away in the oak armoire.

The city’s most sought after attractions – bustling River Street, Broughton Street shopping, Telfair Museum, Lucas Theater, the Cathedral, Forsyth Park and more – are all within easy walking distance. Whether you want to create your own pancakes at the Funky Brunch Cafe, or enjoy an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Soda and Leopold’s Ice Cream, you’ll be in a great location to explore all Savannah has to offer.

Arriving guests please note that despite its central location, some GPS systems don’t recognize East York Lane or mislabel it as East York Street. The entrance to the apartment is at 425 East York Lane, which is different from and directly behind 425 East York Street. The Lane, which does not have a separate street sign, is a broad, paved, well-lighted service road that runs parallel to – and between – Oglethorpe Street and East York Street and between Habersham and Price Streets.

The rental unit is spacious with plenty of natural light and a well-designed layout. It sits in a quiet residential area on the east side of the historic area, walking distance from just about everything of interest. Instructions are provided where needed, lights etc. are clearly labeled and the WiFi was reliable. Cleaning: While the bedroom and bathroom were cleaned thoroughly, some areas in the kitchen were not. There is a workshop down the lane and some occasional construction noise, which is to be expected in Historic District.

fantastic! What a wonderful experience we had. we even extended a day. Lucky Savannah staff were extremely attentive and responsive. The property was very clean nicely furnished and in walking distance of everything. The location was quite with almost no vehicle or pedestrian traffic. We cant wait to return for another mommy daddy getaway.

The condo was in a perfect location, walking distance to all the sights but a few short blocks away from all the noise. The neighborhood is quiet, the bed was comfortable, and we slept great. We felt totally safe walking back at night and paid parking on the street was easy with the Park Savannah mobile app. We enjoyed getting a drink to go from the local establishments and sitting in one of the nearby squares. It was so peaceful. We found some cute coffee shops and good restaurants that were a short walk away.
We had a minor maintenance issue, but the management team was quick to respond and fix the problem.
The only small complaints we had were a lack of washcloths, only two were provided for an entire week for two people. Also only two coffee filters for the week. Not a huge deal, but a little more attention to the smaller details would be nice.
Overall we had a great stay and recommend this condo.

The place was very nice and walkable to everything in downtown Savannah. For the most part it was clean. There was hair and dust on the bathroom floor and wall behind the door. The day of checkout, at around 10 the cleaning people walked right in and up the stairs, ummmm checkout is 11 and I did not check out yet. What if I was having an intimate moment and people are in there, completely unprofessional.

Great experience from start to finish. Lucky Savannah instructions were timely and accurate. York Lane Carriage House is a wonderfully comfortable place to rest and refuel while exploring beautiful Savannah. The rental had everything we needed. We felt very safe there, and were able to walk to all the historic district sites. Never had any trouble parking. Would definately choose this rental for future visits.

Probably the best VRBO stay we have ever had. We have rarely been disappointed but this property was truly great. The mattress and couch cushions weren't worn, everything except the ceiling fan (they offered to look at it but we said it could wait) in the bedroom worked as it should, it was quiet, private. Just a joy of a place to stay in.

My wife and I spent three nights at this property for a weekend getaway to Savannah. This is an upstairs unit. The ground level appears to just be garage space, no one ever used it while we were there. The home is located in an alley with no view, but it is a great location. We walked everywhere with no issue. The unit itself is very nice. Clean, updated, and well appointed. As others have suggested, we used the ParkSavannah app and it worked great. Our only complaint was having to deal with Lucky Savannah. We arrived early the day of our checkin. I called twice to see if we could get in a little early but was told the unit was not ready, when in fact it was. The last time I called was at 3:35 and I was told the unit would not be ready until 4:00. So we waited outside. No one ever came to inspect the unit.

We had a wonderful stay at this clean and beautiful place The Carriage House on York Ln. This property was close enough to walk to the River walk and many other places.We were lucky enough to get free street parking which saved us money. This property is on an ally way which made it very quiet. The people who work for Lucky Savannah Were very helpful and answered our questions in a timely manner. At the last minute we decided to take a trip to Savannah before our several months stay in Charleston. We were lucky enough to find the York House. It was within walking distance to everything we were interested in seeing: Trolley Tour, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil Tour, Owen Thomas-House, Forsyth Park to name a few. We did have to take Lyft to Bonaventure Cemetery. We found the York House to be very clean and comfortable with large living space, well equipped kitchen and large bedroom with a comfortable king bed. Very quiet and private.

Loved our location and stay. But arriving at night was a problem. The parking garages were full and street parking is confusing for those of us not used to it. Arrive early and stop at Visitor Center and get a pass. You will be able to park not too far away. My only other complaint is I would like check out procedures written down in the unit.

We so enjoyed our 2 weeks in the York Lane Carriage House. It was in the perfect location for walking to everything in the historic district. There’s nothing better than leaving your car parked and walking through those gorgeous shady squares. We went out to Tybee Island several times and it was a snap to get to highway 80 from the rental.

The Carriage House is ideal for a couple. It’s spacious, very clean, nicely decorated and well kept. The mattress is quite comfortable and we always got a good night’s sleep. The area is quiet. It is in an alley, and we felt safe walking through the neighborhood day or night. We felt right at home.

We were lucky enough to meet the owners. Rich went out of his way to give us some great recommendations for things to do, restaurants, grocery shopping, etc. He obviously loves living in Savannah and was so gracious in sharing local information with us.

Don’t worry about the parking situation. It was very easy to find parking spots for our car. Be sure to download the Park Savannah app which makes it convenient to pay for parking as well as to extend the time without having to walk out to the car. You have to be vigilant about the parking restrictions (street sweeping days), but we never had a problem finding a space close to the house. Tip: On the section of Habersham street between Oglethorpe and E York, the parking fees are $1/hour on the side of the street closest to the rental and $2/hour on the opposite side of the street. We only made that mistake once.

The Carriage House exceeded our expectations and we hope to return again.

The Carriage House was lovely. Very well decorated and comfortable. It was close to everything we needed to do. The security features and the vacation app for my phone were a big help. We only wish the weather had cooperated more, but that is not your fault!

If we ever get back to Savannah again, I will use this rental company. I highly recommend it.

Overall we had a very nice stay and found the apartment to have all the amenities we needed. The location was walkable for all of historic Savannah - the front door opens into an alley which always raises some hairs at night, though we never experienced anything suspicious or unsafe-feeling.

There seemed to be something odd going on with the tap water - it did not taste drinkable and even had a smell when showering.

We ended up needing to stay an extra night due to a cancelled flight - the staff could not have been more accommodating, which was much appreciated.

The carriage house was very accommodating. My husband and I enjoyed the privacy and the location. It was centrally located to all of the places we visited so walking to them was very easy. The view is an alley, but don't let that deter you. This is a wonderful place for a couple. Very well appointed, quiet, and 10 minutes from anything in the Historic District. Also just off the route to Tybee Island. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had every thing you need. I was not hot on Savannah's parking permit. However, it turned out top be the coolest arrangement ever. In any big city you are going to pay $15 and up per day to use hotel parking. This permit allows you to drive all over town and park, for less per day. Even the parking garages. Never once did we not find a parking spot just off the end of the alley.

My wife and I loved the rental unit. Great location which made it practical to walk to just about anywhere. The unit was spotless and very large and comfortable.

Parking was never a problem. Parking is metered M-Sat 8 am to 8 pm. If you park on the same side of Habersham St as the unit parking is only $1/hr vs $2/hr on the other side of the street. It is cheaper to just pay the meter for the 12 hours vs. buying the daily parking pass. Be sure to download the Park Savannah App which makes it very easy to pay.

There is a free bus service to get around town. There is a bus stop just down the street from the unit.

This was a beautiful rental! Everything that was needed for our stay was within arms length. Having the kitchen fully functional, modern and stocked with more than enough cooking utensils, saves on meals and makes grabbing a snack convenient. Savannah was a very hot and humid place and this rental was a home that my son and I looked forward to coming to mid-day. Most of our time was spent here since I was there for work.
The laundry room is very convenient as well. There was a slight problem with operating washer and the staff addressed it immediately by sending a maintenance worker to take a look. Having the laundry room there allowed us to not have to drag sand and mildew-ridden clothing home from our day trip to Tybee Island.
My teenage son, who is on the autism spectrum and highly functioning, was concerned about being away from our home for such a long time (1 full week) but he didn't complain one time. There are tv's that have cable so that kept him occupied.
Lucky Savannah has a binder full of information on eateries, sites and history about the area for guests to read through in each of their homes. It may need to be updated a bit but it was very useful.
I will definitely be looking up their rentals on my next trip to Savannah.

The pictures do not do this place justice! It has TONS of space for a one bedroom. It's in a great location (the main reason we chose to stay here as we used to live just a 2 blocks away!) close to all the historic district has to offer! Savannah will always be a place we'll come back to and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here every time we come back!

Our stay in this carriage house couldn't have been more perfect. It was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located to everything in the historic district. There is no parking with this rental, so if you're going during the week I'd recommend stopping at the visitor center on the way in to get a parking pass (not needed for weekend stays). Otherwise, there are only a few spots available on the street without a meter, which needs to be fed every 2 hours. I hope to get back to Savannah soon and would stay here again!

The carriage house is BEAUTIFUL! This rental is in a fantastic location, right near Columbia Square, you can walk EVERYWHERE! When we arrived everything was clean and comfy. The bed is VERY FIRM so be prepared! We would absolutely stay here again!

This was my husband's first trip to Savannah and I wanted it to be a wonderful experience. It could not have been a better long weekend. The accommodations were lovely. The rental company could not have been more helpful with info on the town. They even provided us a phone number for a pedi-cab company. The only problem we encountered is that there are actually two 425 E. York Streets. This apartment is at the rear of the house. Once the rental company explained how to get to the rear of the house, we were golden. The weather was too cold to enjoy the outside garden but it looked lovely. Lucky Savannah will definitely be my go to company for bookings in the future when there are more in the party visiting Savannah. Loved the walking. The only thing I wish was in the apartment would be a map of the town for the taking when walking. With so many squares, you can get confused!

My husband and I recently stayed in the York Carriage house for our 10th anniversary. We have visited Savannah several times but it was our first stay in a rental home. I have to say we absolutely loved this apartment! The location was great, the rental itself was very clean and spacious! This will be our home anytime we visit in the future!

We love the York Lane Carriage House and Lucky Savannah! This was our second stay at the carriage house and we would rent it again. It is in a great location - easy walking distance to everything in the Historic District. The apartment is clean, up to date, nice furnishings, bedroom with a king bed, living room, full kitchen w/dining table for 4 people, two televisions and central air.

The only changes I would hope for for our next visit would be to have WiFi and a better quality of paper products.

York Lane Carriage House is a beautiful place to stay and Lucky Savannah are great to work with.

Savannah is a fun city for all. The rental was fabulous, extremely clean, comfortable bed and a well equipped kitchen. It was great with the free parking spot right there. I would definitely recommend this rental to everyone. Looking forward to a return trip.

We rented the York Lane Carriage house for our elopement. It was perfect! We were able to relax, had more than enough room to get ready and walked everywhere. The house was clean and well maintained. The owners, who live in an adjacent property, are very nice and welcoming. Once they learned we were there to be married, they delivered a bottle of wine to us! We can't wait to come back!

EXCELLENT! Location was convenient to everything for walking. We stayed here for three nights and it was great. The place was very clean and looked like a pretty recent renovation. There was no on sight parking which we were aware of. I recommend getting a parking pass at the visitor center which will cover the garages and street parking. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

From our initial booking until we departed this vacation rental was perfect!! It was ideally situated in the center of the historic area. The photos of the property were beautiful but the property itself was even better. It was immaculately clean and very quiet. There was a lot of planning and time that went into this condo and it shows. We will Definately stay here again when we're back in the Savannah area.

We rented this property for a anniversary weekend in Savannah. This was a great property in a good location. I had read alot of reviews about not staying near the river due to noise from bars. This was my first visit to Savannah and absolutely loved this rental! It was in the perfect location - a short walk to Forsyth park and a short walk to River Street. Even if you want to drive to Tybee beach, it was easy to jump on the main road from there. Although you have to find parking on the street, we never had a problem finding a spot within a block. The rental was spotlessly clean! The bed was extremely comfortable! AC was perfect temperature upon arrival, it never got stuffy or hot even during the middle of summer. It was much more spacious than the pictures portray. The view from the balcony was just of the alley, but that was alright for us. We happened to pass by nearby neighbors and they were all friendly people. Great neighborhood. Great location. I would definitely rent this place again.

The only suggestions that I could think of to make this place 100% awesome would be to update the shower head and place softer rugs in the bedroom.

If you stay here, be sure to check out the following:
For breakfast, go to The Funky Brunch Cafe or J.Christophers, both within walking distance.
On River Street, be sure to stop by River Street Sweets for some free samples of heavenly goodness.
For more sweets, also try some macarons at Marche de Macarons.
For shopping, check out the City Walk.
For creepy thrills, take a stroll through the Colonial Park Cemetery or sign up for a Ghost Tour - however, there are A LOT of ghost tour companies, so choose wisely.
For dinner, any restaurant along River Street offers excellent views and great atmosphere.
If you want to enjoy the beach, get there early as parking spots are limited and fill up quickly.

My wife & I loved our stay here, great location, short walk to everything downtown, great apartment! We were lucky enough to grab an un-metered parking spot so we didn't have to worry about parking the rest of the trip. We'll be back here, for sure one note --there are no views out the windows to speak of-- if you are good with that- and we are, this is a grand place to stay.

This charming carriage house is nestled in the beautiful Savannah historic district. Park your car and explore the history and lore of this charming Southern city. Explore the "squares" and pop into local coffee shops and restaurants. Then retreat to a quiet, spacious home for rest in the best bed ever. The onsite owner welcomed us with many suggestions on best walks and resturants. We definitely would recommend to friends and hope to return. Be sure to eat at "Firefly" Resturant just a short walk away. Enjoy.

This property was a delight. Spotless, light and airy, cool (a miracle in the middle of August), tastefully decorated, and a big, beautiful, comfortable bed - what else could you want? OK, one thing would have been nice - a box of tissues. But everything else we could possibly need was in the unit when we arrived. Plus it is walking distance to everything we wanted to see while we were in Savannah. Maybe we just got lucky, but we had no problem finding parking. We walked to the Cathedral, many of the squares, great restaurants and a cute coffee shop. We drove north to see the eclipse and made Savannah our jumping-off point. After the crazy post-eclipse traffic it was great to come back this gracious home-away-from-home.

We were very impressed with the location of this property as we could walk everywhere! This was a quiet location as well and very well kept inside and out. The pictures were very accurate as to decor and layout. We had plenty of linens and the kitchen was well equipped with the basics. This property was very clean and well maintained. Initially the entry code did not work and this problem was alleviated immediately with a phone call. We also briefly met the owner, Rich, when we arrived. He was friendly and helpful regarding local sites. I would recommend this specific place to anyone who wants a great night's rest in a spotless apartment after a day of walking around the historic district! We felt safe walking around the historic district and going to and from events.Most areas are well lit. We spent one full day at Tybee Island too and easily drove there and back. We visited several historic homes, went to Octoberfest and the river front daily, ate at several local restaurants, and enjoyed the Military Museum which is right around the corner. We also had a great time at the riverboat Gospel Music dinner show on Monday evening! The checkout process was a breeze!

Perfect location, easy walk to explore downtown Savannah. The property was very clean and roomy. The kitchen was very well stocked for those who tire of eating all meals out. We were able to park on Price St for free for our entire stay. I highly recommend staying here! Fantastic apartment. Very spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. We had absolutely everything we needed plus more. The location couldn’t have been better. Very close to awesome food and to the river front. Extremely easy booking and getting in late at night a breeze with keyless entry. Our stay at the York Lane Carriage House was delightful! It's a lovely apartment, spacious, beautifully appointed and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The super comfortable king bed and luxurious linens along with quiet nights made for good rest. The location was very safe and convenient, allowing us to walk everywhere. Several good restaurants are a short walk away. We enjoyed 1790 and of course some ice cream at Leopolds. Parking the car was easy, with a free spot right around the corner where we left it for our entire visit. The Free Bus was easy to get to and came in handy for longer distances. Lucky Savannah was a great host and helped us with questions and some items we left behind. Both the York Lane Carriage House and Lucky Savannah are highly recommended!

This was everything it said and looks just like the pics. Everything was great! Location is only front door on road looking like an alley and is the upstairs over the garages for others. Garage doors when operated were loud but did not occur at a time that would bother. We would do it again.

We loved our stay at York Lane Carriage House. I stayed there for three nights with my mom and my two year old son, and it was lovely. Very conveniently located, clean, quiet and spacious. Great for a two year old EXCEPT the long entry staircase. That can be dangerous. But the easy fix for that is to turn the coffee table on it's side and block off the staircase. Furniture was easy to move to baby/toddler proof the area. Can easily hear the garage door open below the bedroom, but it never happened at night. Be careful- there were some bees (maybe a hive nearby?) on the balcony, but overall- we loved it. Very clean. Comfortable, beautiful and worth every penny!

Great location, very comfortable space. Well cared for, clean, and attractive. No view, it's an alley, but quiet because of that. If you sleep in the living room on the sofabed, you might want to turn off the refrigerator in the nearby kitchenette. At night, when everything's quiet, it's very loud.

Don't miss Wall's Barbeque, a 30 second walk on the next block in E. York Lane. Tiny place, absolutely fantastic.

Had two problems. Internet was very spotty. Sometimes it worked fine, but most of the time it was either very slow or plain unusable. Someone was sent out to check when we weren't there, and reported it worked fine. Not helpful. Nothing else was done about this during our four night stay, despite repeated complaints.

Two window blinds came crashing down at the mere attempt to raise them -- they'd been cut TOO SHORT for the window frame (amateurs at work?), and a slight movement slid them out of their brackets. One almost landed on my bare foot, which would have hurt. A lot.

My daughter and I stayed at the York Lane Carriage House for a short getaway and were very impressed with the accommodations. Beautiful decor, lovely neighborhood, and the owner was very friendly. Generally very clean and well maintained, although the kitchen cabinet surfaces were a bit smudged. There was some minor confusion about the access code to the property, but staff was professional and accommodating.

My friend and I had a girls getaway weekend here. It was wonderful! We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and the rental company was attentive. The place was very clean too. The only issue we had was the internet strength was not strong and kept kicking us off, but we contacted the rental company and they offered a quick solution. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed here in celebration of our 15th wedding anniversary. The carriage house was super clean, comfortable, and cozy. Perfect location and close to everything downtown. Very easy to book and the people are awesome to work with.

My boyfriend and I rented this cute and convenient place from Wednesday to Sunday over Memorial weekend. We both loved that we just showed up and didn't have to do anything the place was ours for the next few days. It was convenient to everything. We only drove our car once and that was to visit Tybee Island and Wormloe Park. Everything was in walking distance but if you wanted a pedicab was always an option. We will definitely be back but one thing we may do different is rent bikes for our stay.

York Lane Carriage House was perfect for my husband and I to celebrate our son's graduation from SCAD. House was clean and living area was spacious enough for the 5 of us to relax, cook and eat together. We walked everywhere and parking was tricky but not a big deal!!!

We loved this space. The newly remodeled and tastefully decorated apartment was comfortable and perfectly located. You can step out the door and are in walking distance of every thing you need: historical sights, beautiful squares, great places to eat, shopping, and places to worship. We'll be back! The only negative is finding a place to park.

Great value, nice accommodations, very well set up and things are very nice. Really big spaces, lots of room. Basic bath. Unit entrance is on a Lane (which is an alley). You have to look past the trash cans and other alley "stuff". If you are out about the city it doesn't really matter. Only complaint is a poorly functioning wireless/internet which did not work at all most of the time.

This was a great little apartment for a couple. Very walkable location and nice/clean furnishings. AC works awesome, bed is comfy, and we had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunches at the house. The only suggestions I have are get some outdoor cushions for the patio chairs and a better shower head, the water pressure was pretty low.

Great felt like home away from home.

We were pleasantly surprised by this apartment. From the moment we walked in, we couldn't believe our good fortune in finding this place. Very spacious and well appointed.There were a couple of little housekeeping issues we noticed but no big deal a b d certainly would n i t prevrnt us from a future stay.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days whe we celebrated our wedding anniversary. The carriage house was beautiful and clean. The location was perfect. We were close enough to River Street and most of the attractions in the historic district to walk everywhere. The management staff was very helpful when we booked it. I loved the app with all of the info on it. There were books about Savannah in the home, which were nice, but we would have liked to have brochures or information on things such as tours and restaurants that delivered. I would definitely stay here again.
