While we had a few glitches (access code issue, TV problems, leaking toilet), the property manager was available to assist with resolution. The home was very nice and the location was perfect for wandering around the beautiful historic district of Savannah.

The Wandering Artist is perfectly located in the historic district of downtown Savannah. It's convenient to all the sites/sounds/experiences of the city. Being a historic home, it has the best ambiance as well as comfort. Plenty of room with everything an extended family could want in a vacation rental. My entire family (3 generations) had a great time and felt we really achieved the "Savannah Experience".

The place looked exactly like the pictures. It was spacious, clean and had a lot of character. it had an awesome courtyard that was completely shaded by huge crape myrtles with a flowing water fountain. Jones street is beautiful!

Over all- a great place to stay- charming southern decor; well kept and clean other than the courtyard/patio area - it really needed a good sweeping and it would have been more welcoming had the patio furniture covers been removed prior to arrival

This home was perfect for our family vacation. Located on beautiful East Jones Street, we found the location quiet, yet convenient to everything wr wanted to do. All of historic downtown was within a half mile walk it was wonderful not having to worry about driving and parking for our entire trip. The home was clean and well kept. The beds were comfortable. Lucky Savannah always responded quickly and kept us up to date from the moment we booked the home.

Everything was perfect. Clean, comfortable, no issues. About 3/4 mile to the downtown shopping area and restaurants, but close to many of the historical attractions. Parking was easy in front of the house, no meters.

We enjoye our stay the only issue we had is the leaking from the heavy rain but when we arrived we called maintence and they were there pretty quickly. Wonderful location house is beautiful!

We booked this property specifically due to it being pet friendly and wanting to bring our small fur baby with us to one of the most pet friendly cities! The home was the perfect size for our family, wonderfully located on my favorite Jones St, and the courtyard was adorable and perfect for traveling with a pet. The house was impeccably clean, had wonderful historic charm, and was filled with all the amenities you need at a home away from home.

We were so pleased with our home away from home. The bedrooms and bathes were lovely and the ambience was charming, especially the the antique brick walls. The decor and artwork was special and made for a very pleasant stay.
I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a conveniently located house. We walked to Clary’s for breakfast and Mrs Wilkes Boarding House of lunch another day.
Parking was easy, just be aware of street sweeping day.
Only two suggestions I have are if the beautiful courtyard and furniture be cleaned up a little, It’s a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and a couple of tea towels would be nice in kitchen.
Lucky Savannah was very helpful and easy to reach.

Great property in an amazing location. This place is perfect for 2 families. The house has a charming interior design and a spacious layout. The location is perfect. Located on possibly the prettiest street in all of savannah, but away from downtown noise.

Great place for family. Plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 3 small children. The location was fantastic. The only complaint is the air conditioning in the back house was not great. Fortunately it was not too hot when we were there.

Rental was nice and accommodating for our annual visit to Savannah for our anniversary. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't very good but the home was warm and inviting. Would recommend warmer bedding on beds and perhaps a new mattress on the bed in the room with double beds. Not exactly the most comfortable supportive mattress.

We were 3 couples that each wanted their own bathroom. So this property fit that bill. We had great weather, so we enjoyed the courtyard. Downstairs provided a good gathering area. I would suggest the owners attend to the following items when they can. My bed/bath was charming, but the toilet seat needs to be affixed better and the queen bed was pretty saggy in the middle.

We had been in this residence back in May of 2021. We were impressed with the amount of light in the residence. Had stayed in another residence and it was fine. Just really appreciated the light. It was very spacious with nice furnishings and very large rooms. The garden was lovely however it would have been nice to have outdoor lighting and an outdoor bistro table and chairs to sit and relax. I have already recommended this house to friends ! It is on a scenic and quote street and it is a close walk to most areas !

We enjoyed our stay in this unique home in Savannah's historic district. It was our first time in the city and it is a lovely city: walkable, bikeable, and beautiful. The home offered us the chance to relax and cool off after some hot days. We loved the separate carriage house where my husband and I slept, allowing for our young adult children to stay up later at night than we do without any inconvenience to them or us. We had an issue with the lock to the carriage house which actually was a user issue, but Lucky Savannah sent somebody over within a few hours. We appreciated that he arrived masked and assisted us in figuring out the appropriate use of that lock. I do agree with one other reviewer who commented on the courtyard furniture. I had looked closely when choosing a place in Savannah at the outside area. Last year we rented a home that had 3 decks on a lake with furniture on only one which was a little inconvenient because we had too keep moving furniture. The furniture here was usable without the cushions (they sucked up water and stayed wet) but not up to the standard of the rest of the home. The courtyard is lovely but hadn't been cleaned off prior to our arrival. The trees were losing some leaves and it certainly would not have stayed in pristine condition but I would have enjoyed it looking better on arrival. This may be totally inconsequential to other people but I am a gardener and the squares and courtyards were things that I loved about the city. As it turned out, it was quite hot and humid so we really did not sit outside much so it didn't present an issue for us. The house was clean and stocked with the basics we needed to cook and have a comfortable stay. I would recommend it without hesitancy.

The house was as advertised. It was clean and ready for us to check in. Plenty of space for us. Had one maintenance problem but a maintenance man was there within 30 minutes and handled the problem. Within walking distance of several attractions. Beach within short driving distance. Would recommend.

The Wandering Artist was perfect for our family of 4 - my college-bound son liked having his own space in the carriage house.
It was clean and quaint, exactly as the pictures show. The exposed brick gives it that Savannah charm. In a great location(Jones Street is the prettiest in Savannah), in a quiet neighborhood. A short walk to River Rd, DOT (Free trolley) & Forsyth Park. Contactless check-in/check-out was a plus.
It had all we needed for a nice Savannah vacation.

The home's location is towards the end of the popular Jones Street, sitting a few blocks away from the pretty brick paved road area. I found the location to be good because it was away from the craziness yet still close enough to everything.
The property was nice and spacious for the style home. Although it technically sleeps 9, I think 3 couples would be the limit for maximum comfort. The original brick walls add a nice ambience and character that you look for in Savannah. The carriage home in the back is a nice feature as an independent studio (full kitchen, bath, bed), but lacks the style and charm of the main area.
The place wasn't as clean as we expected, considering more strict protocols. We found used instructions for a self Covid test on the coffee table, and also found pajamas in one of the drawers. One of the toilets upstairs did not flush properly either.
A few little quirks such as TV remotes with dead batteries and WIFI that did not work in the carriage home were a bit annoying. The courtyard feature is nice but its impractical and not really maintained.

We spent a week in Savannah celebrating a family milestone birthday and the house was great. Lots of room for everyone to spread out and all the amenities you could want. Only nit would be that we could have used a little more comfortable seating in the living room as we were 7 adults and there was really only comfy seating for 4. Maybe a sectional sofa would work better? Working with Lucky Savannah was a pleasure. They were very responsive and happy to help in any way. Thanks for helping us create a very memorable experience!

Our stay in the Jones Street rental was absolutely a great experience. The place had more than sufficient space for everyone including our 2 dogs. It was clean, quiet and with everything we needed to put our feet up comfortably and just relax. I would recommend it to anyone.

This home is in a really good location - we walked to a cafe and enjoyed that very much. We used the full kitchen and dining tables. We played board games with our kids. We loved the old brick and the modern amenities. The home was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was perfect, exactly what we expected! The only thing that wasn't perfect, I called the management company the day we were coming in and asked if we could check in early, they strung us along until exactly 4pm and then let us in, no one was at the property for hours before our check in (we were sitting outside)

We don't know the owner, but they feel like a kindred spirit! Between the art and the historical touches, there isn't a corner in the house that isn't worth looking into. This was the perfect house for an extended family get together. There were even a couple pieces of art that had special connections to our family history!
Only complaint, all the bathrooms had been partially cleaned; it's as though the last step to sweep them out was forgotten, which left for dirty floors.
It would be appreciated if Lucky Savannah let occupants know if they are arriving on a street cleaning day. It's a bit frustrating to have spent the day in the car and be unloading, and to then have to search for an alternate spot.

We enjoyed our stay very much in this home. While not was a little dusty, the paths on the patio were leaf covered (we had to sweep the walkways to avoid tracking leaves in the house), the Queen bed in the bedroom with the two beds was cupped down in the middle and too soft, there were only 6 coffee cups for a house that can sleep more, and there was no regular channel TV available in the carriage house bedroom.

The house was clean and had everything we needed. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the courtyard was perfect for our toddler since it was gated. We were very happy with the location since it is in the historic district and close to all the sites.

The Wandering Artist was beautiful home. It was built in the 1860’s & was beautifully modernized. Very roomy & beautifully decorated. The only negative was our bed was not very comfortable, too soft for us, king would have been more comfortable. The location was outstanding! Right in the historic district & easy to get downtown. Loved the Property at 525 Jones St. plenty spacious and comfortable for 9 people. Had a little trouble with the door code and not having enough towels, but everything thing else was fine. However I would not recommend Savannah in July.. between the heat and the gnats, we were pretty miserable.

Our family of 8 enjoyed this property very much. Good location and away from confusion and noise. The garden was a nice treat! Only thing I would make better are the baking sheets in 5he main kitchen. Some are rusted and need to be replaced. Other than that everything was great!

Only suggestions for owners would be to replace all the burned out lightbulbs and consider putting king size beds in the bedrooms - there is plenty of room! We would definitely stay here again!

We had such a fabulous time. We had a Centennial Celebration Weekend. One of our friends turning 40 the other turning 60. We walked miles, shopped, ate too much, sat around yapping in the evenings. You MUST eat at Mrs. Wilks Restaurant (??-ask around town about famous buffet). We stood in line almost 2 hours, took turns shopping while waiting in line. It was worth the wait! Family style w strangers! Loved it! The Wandering Artist was so cozy and clean. It’s truly beautiful! I highly recommend it for families, friends, or even 2-3 couples. Will def stay there again if we find ourselves in Savannah.

The home was amazing and the carriage house was perfect for our family. During our stay we began to smell something like acetone. The maintenance team was very quick to respond but no one could determine the exact cause of the odor. Other than the sudden odor the home was absolutely perfect.

This place was awesome. I don't even know where to start. The carriage house in the back is its own home with kitchen and bathroom. The living room in the main house was cozy and where we spent most of our time (group of 7) and we had friends over who loved the house too. The kitchen had everything we needed and is much nicer than my own kitchen. The beds are tall and big, perfect size for two. The toilets have their separate room from the bath which was convenient. I reached out to management only once to ask where the garbage/recyclables were. We went beside the carriage house to access the back alley to throw trash away. We walked mostly everywhere. It was a 17 minute walk to Broughton St where were mostly went to shop and eat. We went to Flying Monk Noodle bar, The Collins Quarter, Sorry Charlie's, Paris Market and the Fitzroy to name a few. The house was clean and perfect for my group of 7. We had to park on the street but could park in front of the house no problem. Pay attention to street cleaning signs! I don't know what else to say. This is my 3rd time renting with Lucky Savannah and will keep doing so. This house was great.

This home was beautifully appointed, the renovation on this historic home was exceptionally done! I brought my team to Savannah and rented two homes, this being one of them- the main house was perfect for the gentlemen in the party and the guest cottage was perfect for the additional person from our other rental a few doors down. The location is not walkable BUT rideshare was accommodating to our party and found the homes without issue. Overall I would rent this home over the other one because of the actual care and maintenance taken on it. It was beautiful inside and out! Thank you for a flawless experience here!!

My experience at the wandering artist was great. Leading up to our vacation everyone I spoke to through the rental agency was so helpful and accommodating. The house was perfect and made our stay so enjoyable. The courtyard was peaceful and relaxing to sit in. Savannah was a beautiful town and we loved it.

This place is gorgeous and has all of the amenities you would hope for. On a quiet street but an easy walk to all of the bars and site of historic downtown. The only downside was that I was with a group of guys and when it says it sleeps 9 that is with 8 people sharing full beds and one sleeping on a twin. So it was a little snug but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house was beautiful. The interior is perfectly accented with paintings, exposed brick walls and polished, stained concrete floors on the main level. Across the charming courtyard, the carriage house is conpletely equipped with bath and kitchenette. The location is absolutely perfect as you can wlak to most attractions in historic Savannah.
Parking can be tough on certain days so park early and walk or Uber. Better for going to the pubs anyway!

Our stay in Wandering Artist was close to perfect. The bedrooms are spacious and the cooking and dining space are ample as well. The courtyard is a lovely place to visit and enjoy Savannah weather. My only suggestion is that the seating area in the living space is not adequate for 6-8 people to sit comfortably. I would suggest removing the stadium seats and replacing with a couple of upholstered chairs. As it was, only 4 of our 6 could relax comfortably while they other two had to sit in hard chairs all weekend. Also, the outdoor area only seats 4. Again, needs to seat the maximum for the home, which is 6-8. Otherwise a beautiful and very spacious space that is convenient to everything in the historic area. I would definitely rent it again.

The Wandering Artist is an awesome home away from home, very homey and comfortable. It was perfect for our group of 3 couples with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom in each bedroom and a large closet. 9 girls stayed in this magnificent Savannah home and we had a blast!! This house was absolutely perfect for our group as we had 2 "moms" with us who preferred to stay in the carriage house outside. We also agreed that the location of the house was perfect because we were able to walk everywhere from downtown to Forsyth Park. The bedrooms were huge and can easily accommodate air mattresses. I would HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone visiting Savannah with a big group!

What a great house. We rented it for our family for my daughter's wedding. It was a great choice. We had company visit us and had plenty of room to entertain. The courtyard was fantastic and the carriage house was perfect for the bridal couple the night of the wedding. Everyone who visited said how great the house was. Loved this house and would definitely rent again! The property was listed to sleep 9 people and we had 9 people, however, the sleeper sofa was broken and was not able to be used. I called Lucky Stay Savannah and they were extremely helpful and delivered an air mattress to the unit within a few hours. This was the only issue we had with the rental the whole time. Loved the key code for the lock so 9 girls didn't have to fuss with keys and people could come and go as they pleased. The house was very nice and more than we expected! Great location and only a short Uber ride to anywhere we wanted to go. Loved this house!

Overall the home was very nice. There were not extra sheets to use on the fold out couch which was nasty anyway. We were really short a bed when we could not use the fold out couch. Extra sheets were quickly supplied when we called the rental company.

This home is exceptional!! We had three couples and had more than enough room. The unit was well kept and we were able to walk everywhere including to the grocery store. We loved the outdoor space it provided bu was disappointed that there was no seating available due to the cushions on the wicker set being soaked through and dirty. We highly recommend this unit.

This was my first time renting a house. I was responsible for finding a suitable place for 3 couples. I was very nervous. The pictures online looked great and the price and location was just right so I went for it. No regrets! I could not have found a better house! It had all the charm of an older home with some modern and eclectic updates. The bedrooms were spacious. The beds were comfortable. The decor was artsy. The kitchen was big enough to cook in and enjoy company. The appliances were great. The water pressure in the showers (very important) was good too. I loved the convenience of a garage to park in. I thought we would have to Uber everywhere since we were a mile away from the river. We didn't. Walking everywhere was very easy. There is a lot to do very close by. The walk to the river was nothing. Uber was really convenient for the nights we were dressed up. I would definitely rent this one again. ALSO the poor sweet lady at Lucky Savannah that had to deal with all of my questions after we arrived was an angel. Great customer service! No complaints just compliments all around for this property and this management company.

The use of electronic door lock made check very easy...especially after a 12 hr drive! The house was exactly as described. It was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The parking space in the garage was a definite must and bonus!
The management staff were very helpful and polite with an questions. We had a minor issue with a shower and the had the plumber there within an hour.

We will be returning to Savannah for many years to come and this adorable rental is one of the many reasons. The Wandering Artist had all the charm of a Savannah home and the rich history of city was evident in the eloquent details and decor of this home. We felt as if were locals as we traveled from the house to the squares and walked around this charming and save neighborhood. My kids loved the house and had plenty of fun. The location to everything was awesome and the place was spotless. We especially loved the Veteran Stadium seats as we are Philly fans. We are already planning our return. We often look at the pictures we took of the house and the garden as well as the guest house and we relive what we are calling our best vacation ever. We want to go back and never leave.

We were very pleased when we arrived at The Wandering Artist. It was very clean and very accommodating! A few nights before our departure the carriage house A/C wasn't cooling, we called about 9:30 pm and within an hour a repairman was there and fixed it. Completely satisfied!

This house was everything it portrayed online. Very spacious, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and there is a nice big dining room. The courtyard was lovely, although we didn't get to use it much because of the weather (too hot, rainy). The location is excellent within walking distance of historic district if you are a walker. The guided hop off and on tour trolley is an excellent way to see the city. Overall we were very pleased with the rental. Suggestion: could use more hand towels.

The Wandering Artist was in a quiet residential setting, but within walking distance to restaurants, parks, and points of interest. The amenities were perfect for our get-away as each family had their own sleeping/bath/flat screen accommodations. Lucky Savannah representatives were professional, eager to assist and responded immediately to all of our requests. Excellent place to stay....thank you!

First let me start off by saying that I will definitely stay at this house again on any future visits to Savannah. The staff was super friendly and accomidating. They were AWESOME!! A lady had a package delivered in our group via FedEx directly to the house and instead of letting package sit outside, Joy went by to place package inside the house for her. The great thing about having two kitchens is that if something was missing from one the other was sure to have it. We couldn't get the a/c to work but Joy sent someone right over to assist us with the issue. There were a few other small issues but over all we were very satisfied with the house and the management company... the house is very modern. Stainless everything. Exposed interior brick/hardwood floors. My bed was awesome but a couple of ladies complained about the carriage house bed and twin. Courtyard was beautiful. Take repellent!!!.. Lots of space in garage. 3 of the ladies did get tickets. A little confusing to us about where exactly to park. We were warned before hand though. Sweeping of the street hours was the issue I believe with the parking tickets but there was parking in the front and back of house.This house really was enjoyable. We took the pedicabs into town like suggested. Awesome experience. Great house. Felt safe. Would highly recommend staying at this house. Awesome, friendly staff!! Thank you ladies...

We recently traveled to Savannah for a yearly get-together with friends. Every other year we have been separated, but this time we chose to all stay in the same house. This is the one we picked and it was absolutely amazing - very clean, spacious, and well decorated. The house is beautiful - everything looks just as it does in the pictures on the website. It is within walking distance of the historic downtown area, though it is a good 15-20 minute walk. But there are a number of places to eat and drink within a shorter walking distance.
At one point, the lock stopped working and we had to call the management company to fix it. The batteries were just dead, but they showed up within 20 minutes of our call and we're very helpful and friendly. They even left us an actual key to the front door just in case it started malfunctioning again.
Great experience - we loved this house and would love to stay again.

This vacation rental was everything we were looking for and more! It made it hard to get out and stay busy because we were wanting to enjoy some time in the home because it was so beautiful. Although it was a bit of a walk to all the things we were wanting to do we were able to find taxis at a reasonable price. I will definitely be looking for this home on my next trip to Savannah!

This house was perfect for our babymoon/family vacation. Plenty of space for 6 adults and kids. Beautiful home. The few questions we did have were answered right away. The only problem was with the weather! Would definitely stay here again.

This is the first time that we rented a home in Savannah. This house was absolutely beautiful - very comfortable and accommodated us all. This home was built in 1866 with beautiful brick work inside and out, but had all of the modern conveniences you would ever need. The location of Historic downtown lets you be within walking distance of the downtown excitement and beautiful squares and parks. Just park your car and walk. I can tell you from experience that parking in Savannah's Historic district on the weekends is quite a headache. The management company is very friendly and helpful. Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful home with my family. You made my daughter's 21st birthday celebration - one to remember. She no longer wants to stay in a hotel the next time we are in Savannah. I have to concur. Thank you again.

This place was amazing! I can't say anything negative about it. It was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated and very spacious for our family of six adults and three children. The bedrooms were big with very comfy beds. On our return trips we will definitely stay here or go through Lucky Savannah to rent another place.
