The Davenport Carriage

The carriage house was absolutely beautiful. Perfect for the two of us with our own space and the courtyard was so relaxing. We would definitely stay again.

The property was very well maintained, clean, plenty of space for the 4 of us. We encountered a wifi issue and was attended to very quickly (within a few minutes). Parking was slightly more challenging than other reviews but we found a spot a few blocks away. We commented a couple of times how everyone felt safe no matter where we went in the city (we mostly stayed by the market and river area but ventured to mid-town for a concert and food). This place is within a couple of miles from just about everything. Please add The Whiskey to recommended stops (might be on their site already but worth the mention), professionals at work, drinks and interaction with customers are top-notch! B. Matthews Eatery is also a great brunch spot. For kids, I'd say the Funky Brunch Cafe...you can make you're own pancakes at the table and a cool OJ machine. We'd all stay here again for sure!

This home was amazingly beautiful and comfortable.Very clean and stocked with all the amenities,I loved the clean and quiet neighborhood.We are looking forward to staying here again in the future God willing ❤️

There were 3 of us on this wonderful trip to celebrate the 4th of July 2025! House was as pictured -gorgeous! The lovely shared courtyard was a welcome gem as we opened up our patio doors and brought the inside out. Its a nice walk to River Street, but still worth the stay. Stores nearby and everything you need to be comfortable. 10 out of 10 recommend!

We loved out stay. the location is perfect - a couple blocks from Forsyth Park and an easy walk to the waterfront and shopping area attractions.
The house has an extremely comfortable living room, well equipped kitchen and 2-bedroom suites with balconies. On street parking was readily available and a handful of great restaurants within 2-3 blocks. Would be my first choice if rebooking.

From the moment we stepped into the carriage house my daughter and I felt right at home. The unit is exactly as shown in the pictures and was actually larger than we thought it would be. The entire home was beautifully appointed and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure in the showers was great. The home is filled with natural light in all the right areas and was just the right size for us to have a few guests over for dinner without feeling crowded. From check-in to check-out, the process was seamless.

On a side note, when we checked in there was no internet connectivity (this was a new property to Lucky Savannah) and there were a few kinks to iron out. Candice was the absolute sweetest and helped us on multiple days doing everything she could to make sure we were able to gain that internet connection (a new modem was needed and installed the day before we checked out). The lack of connectivity was only a frustration in the evenings during the rainy days, so not a big deal.

We did eat in a lot and while there are ample dishes of every kind, silverware/cutlery, cutting boards, stainless steel cookware, a mixer/blender, and various other items, I couldn't locate any bakeware other than a rectangular baking sheet. I am sure these items will be acquired in the future, and this did not diminish the quality of our stay (I always bring these items with me when I plan to cook on vacation).

An overall wonderful stay and I will absolutely be returning to this property in the future. Thank you, Lucky Savannah and especially Candice, for your hospitality and for taking care of us during our stay in the area.
