Description

The Metal Oak suite encapsulates the "Scandinavian Modern" style. This garden-level suite on Savannah's historic Jones Street -often cited as one of the most beautiful streets in the United States- has undergone a complete facelift. We have exposed the original 1862 brick walls in the living room, had a custom metal barn-door created in the kitchen entry way, re-worked the kitchen to raise the ceilings, open the walls and add luxury features, including high-end leathered granite countertops, brand new stainless steel appliances, a wine chiller and beverage cooler, and open black walnut shelves custom-made by Black Dog Salvage, as seen on DIY Channel's Salvage Dawgs. Additionally, we've added a game room for guest enjoyment that features a pleather of family fun board games, air hockey table, and much more.

The luxury features continue into the bathroom where you'll find an additional custom-made black walnut vanity from Black Dog Salvage, matte black fixtures and both subway and black and white geometric tile. Step into the shared courtyard, where there is an ample amount of seating for everyone. The courtyard is truly an oasis; featuring luxury Castelle furniture and a fire table for your enjoyment. This suite is one of the most exceptional you will find in Savannah- but it doesn't stop there. We've included luxury amenities throughout the suite, including:

- 65" TV in the Living Room; 55" TV in the Bedroom
- Luxury Robes
- High-end ROAM Bath products, as well as complimentary ROAM shaving and dental kits
- Nespresso Coffee/ Espresso Machine
- Handicap Accessible - no stairs.

What is parking like for this home?
This home has on-street, metered parking which is enforced by the City of Savannah Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm

We enjoyed our stay (5/4-5/9) at Metal Oak, a quiet location with ample metered parking. Forsyth Park and the river all within walking distance. This garden level rental offers private entry via the front door on Jones or the rear gate into the courtyard. We found it easier to unload/load our bags using the courtyard entry.

The roomy bedroom, located in the rear, was well appointed with large dresser, end tables with lamps, comfy king bed, and large flat screen TV. A closet with sliding glass doors houses the washer and dryer, and offers space to hang clothes. A short hallway leads to the bathroom; while modest in size, a glass enclosed walk-in shower was roomy with plenty of hot water and good pressure.

Further down the hall, a well-lit kitchen with large round dining table was perfect for preparing meals and enjoying breakfast/dinner. A Brita water jug, ice maker, and wine cooler ensured cold beverages. The kitchen was clean but would benefit by the addition of cooking supplies and pantry staples. Beyond the kitchen was the large living room with another large flat screen TV and comfy leather sofa with front door leading to Jones St.

The courtyard was small, uncovered but adequate. It’s enclosed on all sides and we found it somewhat hot and stuffy. Luckily we found a box fan in the rental so we used our emergency travel extension cord to give us some air flow. There is a terrace deck for the above rental, which when in use detracts from the semi-private spaces for both rentals. The small space and furniture do get littered with leaves from surrounding foliage.

As others have commented the wifi was sketchy. The rental was supposed to have cable but that technology eluded us and it was difficult to figure out the TVs. We've learned to travel with our Firestick so all was not lost.

The house is ideally located within walking distance of everything, and the free shuttle bus stops. The unit was large, fully equipped, and in good condition. Very comfortable king sized bed and furniture. Would highly recommend. The property management company, Lucky Savannah, was very accessible and responsive to all our questions.

We hit the jackpot with this home! It exceeded all expectations, it was charming inside and out!

The street itself is stunning, parking was easy the location couldn’t have been better.

This locations is perfect. Just at the foot of the stairs, right off the sidewalk. When we got there it appeared as though maybe a new door had been installed so there was a little confusion getting in but called the number located in the app and they resolved the issue immediately. The apartment is very modern, nicely decorated. Kuerig and an nespresso machines (and samples) provided which were much appreciated. Travel drink cups also provided since Jones Street falls within the walk with drink limits. The bathroom has everything you need, shampoo/conditioner, soap, blow dryer. Nice heater for the shower as well. The bedroom is quite spacious with ample storage in dresser and closet. Two luggage racks are available. Washer/dryer in the closet of master with soap provided. They even provided two robes! They really think of everything. You do hear a little noise from folks moving about upstars but nothing bothersome. The game room has some board games, pac man (though we couldn't figure out how to get it to play) and skeet ball. Had a blast! There is a table along a wall that acts as the bar that has about everything you need. Wine glasses, champagne glasses are available. This renter uses an app that covers most of the details but we didn't see the info about the bicycles until too late in our stay. Missed opportunity. But still, walking distance from everywhere. Mrs. Wilkes (a must lunch stop) is directly across the street, how lucky! Also, when our flight left later than expected they worked with us on a late check out for an additional fee. Very good place, would absolutely stay here again!

Property was beautifully decorated. comfortable and unit was very clean. Very comfy king sized bed. Patio cushions need cleaned/replaced. Most maintenance issues were handled very well. Location is great, close to everything. Minor things like fridge door being hung backward, only 1 hand towel in bath, and no pillows should you want to make up pull out couch. Game room was fun. Unit has very small windows, so no looking out to beautiful Jones Street.

Great location!! We enjoyed exploring Savannah's beauty! This space was the perfect location for my husband and I to return to when our feet got tired. My brother got married in Savannah this past weekend. My husband and I rented the Metal Oak Suite (lower level) of the property. My brother & his wife rented the Blue Magnolia Suite (upper level) and this was our wedding headquarters. It was absolutely perfect! We absolutely loved Savannah and the Metal Oak property was fantastic. The management people were there for us with any questions we had about the area or the rental. Place was spotless, well equipped and the game room a nice plus and in a great location. The only drawback (which WAS noted by renter) was the metered parking on the streets in the area

The rental was outstanding. It is in a great location near good food locations that are walkable.
