Description

Built in 1867, the Mayor’s Quarters has three bedrooms and two bathrooms to comfortably accommodate up to five Lucky guests. It is the ideal choice if you’re looking for the charm of an historic home without sacrificing the convenience of downtown living.

Each room of the home is steeped in relaxed elegance, with a mix of antique furniture and modern amenities. Throw back the shutters and let the sunlight stream into the welcoming living room, with original hardwood floors and decorative hearth. Pocket doors lead to the adjacent six-seat dining room, where more stately antiques and period charm abound. A full bathroom with walk in shower is located underneath the stairs. The updated, fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need, and the adjacent “keeping room” is a truly special brick-lined enclave with cozy seating for intimate conversations or curling up with a good book. French doors in the kitchen lead out to your spacious and private brick-paved courtyard. Equipped with a gas grill and ample seating, you’ll be able to enjoy Savannah’s perfect weather dining al fresco.

Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms are elegantly appointed with rich, dark woods and soothing neutral tones. The full bath upstairs boasts marble tile, his and her pedestal sinks, and a cast iron claw foot tub. The first bedroom has a Queen-size bed, ornamental fireplace and tons of closet space. An oversized second bedroom is quite large for the neighborhood, and has a Queen-size four-poster bed and ample closet space to accommodate longer stays. The third bedroom is small, but no less charming, offering a Twin bed, tucked cozily below a window overlooking Lincoln Street.

This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door and in the area. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends.

Please note, we are unfortunately unable to host bachelorette/bachelor parties or traveling singles in this home.

We loved staying here. The house has a lot of authentic charm and furniture. It was all very comfortable. One drawback was the 3rd bedroom with twin was very small and no closet. The photo was deceiving of the amount of space in there. It is tiny. The twin bed, in fact, was two cushy mattresses on top of each other which made it very wobbly.
Other than that, the house is great. We felt very safe there. It is in a really convenient and quiet location that was close to SCAD, which is what we were there for.

Lovely home. There were some problems. Needs to be sprayed for bugs. We had to remove some pretty big live bugs on the first floor while we were there. Also the twin bed upstairs needs a new mattress. Very uncomfortable. The biggest thing we were not happy about was the owner has most of the cabinets in the kitchen locked up so they can not be used. zero space provided for panty area. We had to store our groceries on the counter tops. This makes for a messy kitchen during our stay. The house itself and the furniture is all nice (except the twin bed). If the owner wants to rent out their house, please provide pantry space in the kitchen or don't rent out your house! Lincoln street is much busier and nosier than we had anticipated. We love Savannah and come at least 3 times a year. I would not stay in the this home again

Clean, updated, beautiful furnishings. You know how some short term rentals use furniture from the Goodwill? And they can smell like bug spray? We’ll this one is not that! It was a really comfortable and beautiful place to stay. Great location and walked everywhere.

Just a charming home in a great location! 4 of us felt like we had plenty of room. Everything is furnished so well!

If you're using the kitchen, bring extra cooking staples, and anything you need to store food. Also, bring hand soap.

This stay was absolute perfection for our family of five. The home was comfortable, well cared for, offered all of the amenities we need (dishes, washer, dryer, etc) and was simply beautiful and cozy. They location was great too. Walking distance to everything, and three blocks to the Savannah DOT free shuttle bus to get you downtown if you don't want to walk. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Can't wait to return!

They Mayor's Quarters in Savannah was absolutely fabulous! Beautifully furnished, spotless, and extremely comfortable. Being able to store our luggage when we arrived before check-in and the morning of checkout before our evening flight was so convenient and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. One small detail that I would suggest would be better lighting in the main bathroom. At night, especially, the lighting was very dim. In daylight, you could open the blinds and have plenty of light. Also, another throw blanket or two (there was one) would be a nice addition when you're curled up with a glass of wine in the evening after a long day of sightseeing, walking and eating in beautiful Savannah! Highly recommend this property!!

This place was beautiful! Very nicely appointed. Good location. I was initially concerned about parking but we had no problems.
The only recommendations I would make was that I wish there was lighting on the side of the house facing the street. There are a lot of tree roots and it is a trip hazard. I wish there was more seating in the family room adjacent to the kitchen and a larger tv. We would definitely book again for this facility!

We loved our first trip to Savannah and the Mayor's Quarters was a great place to relax after sightseeing. Really close to Forsyth Park, its restaurant and a couple of cute coffee shops. The house was clean, the beds were comfy and we loved the historic house charm - the wood floors, fire places, large windows and furniture. The hearth room next to the kitchen was especially cozy. Too hot for the courtyard during our stay, but it was cute, too. The only issues were getting the downstairs shower water to get hot enough and our fear of ghosts! Haha we would definitely recommend Mayor's Quarters.

We rented the Mayor’s Quarters for a long girls weekend. More than enough room for the five of us. Loved the little area off the kitchen. Garden area is cute. Beds were comfortable. The full bathroom in the first floor is very small (it’s under the stairs). Wasn’t an issue for us but calling it out. We called it the Harry Potter room :)

The location was great. The only thing we would complain about was the single bed in the third bedroom. It was horrible and very hard to sleep on. Please replace it. Otherwise the home was beautiful, clean, and well kept.

This was the perfect landing spot for a long overdue girl's weekend. The house is beautiful and spacious and we did try to use each of the rooms at some point during our trip. But our favorite room by far was the cozy family area off the kitchen. Brick walls with a fireplace, overlooking the beautiful outside patio, with comfortable arm-chairs and sofa. We relaxed there every morning before going out to explore Savannah and it was a perfect evening spot afterwards to enjoy wine and talk. This location is within walking distance of everything and also close to a great trolley spot if you decide to take one of the hop-on hop-off trolley tours (which I highly recommend). It was very clean and well stocked for our needs and the pictures accurately reflect the beauty of this house. I would definitely stay again!

We were in Savannah for a wedding, and most of the other attendees' neighborhoods were much louder than our quiet Mayor's Quarters (Now I know why he lived there!).

6 of my family members stayed at the Mayor's Qaurtter for a 5 night stay. We were thrilled with our visit. The home is in a perfect location - everything is walkable. The home itself is a beautiful historic home with all the amenities. We loved the bricked courtyard for enjoying coffee in the morning or pre-dinner cocktails. The kitchen was well stocked. We would recommend to all.

We really like the property but it needs some work. The showers are very hard to operate - especially the downstairs toilet and the doorknobs are falling off. Since the water on the refrigerator wasn't working, it would have been nice to have been provided with some water bottles. However, it's a lovely house and the backyard is fabulous, and the maintenance people were quick to come by and fix the air and deliver towels. A little upkeep and it will be great!

Mayor's Quarters and Savannah was just what 4 northern ladies needed to escape the snow and cold for 5 days!
The house was truly "Savannah". It was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped. Every room was special in its own way and the back porch & courtyard was lovely with a glass of wine after a long day of sightseeing. Beds were awesomely comfortable with plenty of storage space. Bathrooms were fitting for the house and very functional. Location was perfect for walking the entire historic district. We never talked to the owners/managers, but didn't need to. They sent us all the information we needed for a lovely stay. Thank you!

This rental was great! We enjoyed the kitchen, it was stocked with everything we needed, having two living spaces gave us a place to relax and unwind while giving the kids their own space to do so too. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice too. Having the back patio area was a nice bonus, the kids enjoyed eating and hanging out there. We were in walking or a short drive distance to all the places we needed to go, and parking for the home was never an issue.

We had a great weekend in Savannah - the Mayor's Quarters property was perfect. Walking distance to anything we wanted, and the property was in great shape. Had a couple of minor hiccups and the property management team responded immediately and resolved them. The app was very useful.

A very positive experience. Four adults and a child were comfortable in the residence. The location permitted walking to most attractions within about 10-15 minutes and the grocery store is about a 5 minute walk. The house was clean, spacious, and equipped appropriately for a getaway weekend.

We had originally chosen and paid our deposit on another Lucky Savannah property. Several weeks before our scheduled stay, the owner of the property made the property unavailable during our dates. Lucky Savannah contacted us and offered us a choice of three other properties that met our specifications. What a wonderful service! We would certainly recommend Lucky Savannah. Their communication with us was excellent. They made every thing so easy!

My family and I loved our stay at the Mayor’s Quarters in Savannah. The home is beautiful, wonderfully appointed, fully-equipped, and very suitable for a family or group with children.

Two seating areas along with a dining room and back patio allowed us space to rest comfortably and quietly between activities. Beds were all very comfortable, though it’s important to note that the children’s beds were lumber frames with thin mattresses in a VERY tiny room. Great for our littles, but be aware as your kids get older. The kitchen had the utilities we needed to make meals, but no ingredients whatsoever. I only mention this because many kitchens I’ve had in rental houses have oil, sugar, salt, and pepper, etc.

The location is perfect! We walked everywhere in Historic Savannah and loved the journey every time!

Lucky Savannah was also a dream to work with. They communicated very well and frequently as our rental stay approached. When our code didn’t work, I called and they changed it remotely for us. They even have a check-out link. I was very impressed by their customer service!

What a beautiful home. My BFF and I live like Queens in this beautiful property. Clean and serene with gorgeous furnishings. The main bathroom ‘s light switches have dimmer settings. We didn’t know until our last day there. Otherwise, it is a great place to relax after coming back from sightseeing. Perfect location!

This was by far the easiest rental experience I have ever had. We went to Savannah for a family wedding so it was a very busy trip. The place was extremely clean and had everything that we needed to use. It was close to downtown but still far enough out that we werent bothered by street noises. We didnt arrive in town until almost midnight on the day of check in and the door code didnt work. All it took was a single phone call and the representative we spoke to happily fixed the issue and let me know that she would be updating my app so that I could access the new information immediately. Having an app that let me know all of the essential information before arrival. Overall I would definitely take this trip again!

We had a wonderful time, the house was perfect as far as location for walking to many shops and restaurants, grocery store (with a Starbucks) just a few blocks down the street and the house amenities- everything we needed, beautifully furnished. We did have one little problem with the plumbing but they were there within the hour and problem solved, so great response from Lucky Savannah, they were also great, always answered our calls-no leaving messages. Highly recommend both the beautiful home and Lucky Savannah as a rental company. Try Bella Napoli Italian Bistro on State Street-excellent!!! (but small go for a late lunch). The golf cart tour of the cemetery was also excellent and we did a hop on and off tour (get off at River Street for a nice afternoon) and a house and garden tour, all very nice. Beautiful squares all over the city, clean, felt very safe.

Our family visits Savannah at least once a year and we have always stayed at hotels. Never again! This home was in a great location. Walking distance to everything. It was clean and quiet and the outdoor area was amazing for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. We had a great time and would stay here again.

We rented the Mayor's Quarters for a quick weekend trip to Savannah to celebrate my niece's graduation. My mother, who is picky about most things, felt right at home with the clean, charming, stylish decor (which was very much like her own) and the spacious rooms. The house was well appointed, with our needs taken care of.

As with most old southern homes in spring, there were a few critters in some of the rooms, but nothing that was off-putting. We did have a few problems with the door code at check in, but that was quickly resolved, and I would definitely stay at this property and with Lucky Savannah rentals again.

We were traveling to Savannah for a wedding out on Tybee Island and enjoyed the Mayor’s Quarters VRBO home very much. It was clean (although there was an unusual smell when we woke up one day) Lucky Savannah rental company did a good job but there was a lack of communication about our early arrival time, which we had communicated 3 times before the date we were coming in.
The home is spacious, although the 3rd bedroom is really really small and the mattress’s on the plywood beds were very hard. If you are renting here you will need to bring EVERYTHING with you as the kitchen (and the home itself) is not very well appointed (coffee filters, tissues, trash bags, etc)

The home is lovely. Beautiful wood floors and furniture was very nice. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms are not optimal. There is a very tiny bathroom that is under stairs with extremely small shower. The main bathroom was nicely appointed but shower was difficult to adjust. Climate control was good. Wifi was good TVs were small. The kitchen was up to date and easy to use. Overall it was a very good experience spending time in this beautiful city

The home was awesome, nicely furnished, plenty of space and the outside patio is a nice touch. The location was perfect, we're not all-night partiers, but we do like to have fun. Since we're pretty active, we found everything we wanted to do was easily within walking distance - and, we were able to walk away from it to our quiet home away from home. When we return to Savannah, we certainly will try renting the same home. P.S. You must try Fork & Dagger for some amazing food. And, Six Pence ended up being our favorite 'hang out'. Both quite close.

This was our first time in Savannah. We were attending a wedding right after St. Patty's Day so we were skeptical we could find a place. We found this gem and it happened to be 4 blocks from the wedding venue. Very conveniently located and had everything we were looking for. The only thing we would have liked would have been for the fireplaces to be functional and a small fire pit out back would be awesome. However, we loved the back courtyard, it was a nice place to kick back with a glass of wine and enjoy the evening.

The house was beautiful, and our stay was great! A few things that we wish we had known...the rental company does not provide tissues, or dishsoap. I have a baby that I am breastfeeding, and needed the dishsoap for cleaning breastfeeding bottles and pump parts. I thought that was strange, since we have stayed at many rental properties before. And tissues?? What hotel/condo properties doesn't have tissues? So we had to find those things. The bathroom upstairs had a wet towel smell, but I think that's because it's an old house? It was a lovely bathroom. We had 2 rainy days, and the TVs in there were tiny with as cheap as TVs are now, they should get a bigger one. There is street parking, which is not an issue EXCEPT on Saturday night, when the street sweepers come. We didn't realize, and had to spend a half hour looking for a parking spot. Other than that, the stay was wonderful.

Beautiful place very spacious and roomy. only negative - grill did not work and we had looked forward to grilling first night in. also we needed to use the 6th bed on our last night, and it did not have any type of comforter or blanket - and there were none extra. it had gotten a little chilly and we would have appreciated access to either a blanket or comforter

This home had the perfect mix of historic details with modern conveniences. It was centrally located, within walking distance to just about everything. It was very clean and well appointed. There are just a few things renters might want to know beforehand. First, the windows have the original single pane glass. While they are beautiful, they don't provide much sound control. The first night we all felt like we were sleeping on the street. The second night was much better even though it was a Saturday. The second item of caution are the bathrooms. There's a very small shower downstairs and a beautiful claw foot tub upstairs. They were tricky for a family of four with senior parents. Unfortunately we saw a lot of rain during our stay which meant we spent a bit more time inside than most might have to. The tv situation was less than desirable for rainy days with just a very small tv in the sitting room off the kitchen and a tv in one of the bedrooms upstairs. Although there were a few negatives to this place, if definitely wouldn't discourage us from recommending this rental to others. Working with this rental company was very easy as well. We actually had little to no contact with actual people. The reservation was made online, the door code sent through the app, no check-in or check-out procedures...just show up and enjoy! This townhouse is in a perfect location for strolling the beautiful streets of Savannah. Located just a few short blocks from Forsyth Park, our family of four adults and two small children, walked to the park, through the squares and to restaurants with ease. The only time we drove in our car was to Tybee Island which was just 30 minutes away. The townhouse is beautifully finished and the outdoor patio was amazing. We ate most of our meals out there. We all had a marvelous time!

Stayed for 4 nights on a Girl's Weekend. Great location and lovely home. We were able to walk to Forsythe Park and most of the great shopping and restaurants were also walkable. property management was quick to assist with whatever we needed. I would've given it 5-stars except the 3rd bedroom is very small with a trundle bed and no closet. Two ladies staying in that room had to put their luggage in the hallway. It would be just fine for children but the adults were a little challenged in that bedroom.

We rented this home for a girls weekend. We were all extremely happy with the home. It was spacious, very clean and in a convenient location to everything we wanted to do. The property was clean, had lots of character and was within walking distance of all that we wanted to see and do. The bathrooms were quite uncomfortable for 2 couples; the tiny downstairs bathroom was almost unusable for a full sized adult and the tub/shower upstairs was hard to get in and out of. The house was nice, location great. Kitchen could have been a little more clean. Experience was really nice until I forgot a keepsake photo from the wedding I went to which was the whole reason for my trip. After a week of calling hoping housekeeping would have saved it, I gave up.

Having never visited Savannah and hearing only from friends who recently moved there how lovely it was, we did have high expectations however this rental and our time in Savannah surpassed our expectations. We wanted a home in a convenient area and true to Savannah in terms of historic and period character. This home is wonderful and made our time in Savannah perfect.

Everything was perfect. The rental service did a great job communicating with us and helping us access the townhouse. The townhouse is beautiful. The location toon could not be better.

We loved our rental - even better than described! Plenty of room, comfortable, super well-equipped kitchen. Location was perfect, allowing us to walk most places. We'll be back for sure.

Had a great time. Not a bad walk to River St. and can Uber there for about $6. Not hard to get to other sightseeing locations around the city.

It was very impressive, we had wonderful time in Savanna. Only problem was toaster did not work and TV in upstairs bedroom did not work. That isn't what we paid for!

Wonderful house. Great location. We could walk to the historic district Bedrooms very nice and comfortable. Very clean. Would rent again The lighting could be better in the bathroom. There's a lighted makeup mirror in the closet in the master master bedroom

Our family stay at the Mayor's Quarters was wonderful. The property was clean and the kitchen well equipped. The outdoor space was were we spent much of our time together and it was perfect for us. One recommendation I would make would be to have more comfortable mattresses / bedding for the trundle beds. We will stay at this location again.
