The gingerbread house is an amazing piece of Savannah history. We felt so lucky to rent it for our daughter‘s graduation celebration from SCAD. Thanks very much to Katrin at Lucky rentals for going the extra mile and helping us with check-in. The house is incredibly spacious and the fun updating with the decor is wonderful. Our family enjoyed using all the common spaces in the house which are amply furnished with plenty of comfortable seating. The house was very well kept and clean. We appreciated having plenty of glassware and dishes in the kitchen. It is truly a wonderful place to stay Inn Savannah!

We enjoyed the lovely amenities of the Gingerbread House. The kitchen was amazing and very well appointed. All the bedrooms were comfortable and there was plenty of space to gather. We loved the location and enjoyed the coffee shops nearby. It is a great place for a family.

Stayed at the Gubgerbrrad house for the first time for Valantine weekend. The house was perfect, plenty of room, close to some great cafes, right beside a cute little bookstore and coffee shop! We will be repeat customers for this house! Love the Gingerbread house!

We had plenty of space to catch up and laugh. The location was great. We walked Bull St. through all of the squares. Truly beautiful. Great spot to get coffee, brunch and dinner close by.

Stayed here for my bachelorette and it was absolutely perfect. Our group was 9 people and there are 6 beds so we had to share but that was not a problem at all. Place is immaculate and stunning -- one of the most beautiful homes I've ever stayed at. We loved lounging around the house especially on the upstairs balcony / patio. The house is next door to an excellent coffee shop and we also did yoga in the backyard. Would highly recommend!

I rented this property through Marriott for a 4-night stay. Gingerbread House was a pleasant surprise for my family especially I didn't tell them. When my 2 young adults saw the outside, they exclaimed 'you rented this whole place!' Then when they saw the inside, their jaws dropped. My husband just nodded and smiled. The property was beautifully decorated with trendy furniture in a historical structured building. Quite nice and unique with character. Overall, the house was well maintained and updated. The owner definitely gave Gingerbread house enough love! We had a pleasant stay except for one incident but would still recommend Gingerbread House to others.
Location of Gingerbread House is about 2 miles from the river. Forsyth Park is about 1 mile away. The distance between the House and tourist areas was fine with me and my family since we had a car, but parking near the tourist area was a headache, however. There were restaurants within walking distance from the house that we took advantage of since the food was good and the wait time was significantly shorter. The best part of the location was Foxy Loxy Café next door to the house. The certified barista made the best coffee, especially (my) matcha latte. (I travel for business and had enough coffees from different coffee houses in the US.) We had delicious kolache, chorizo taco and coffees every morning. Convenient and quite satisfying!
The only negative part of Gingerbread House was the adjoining bookstore. The security or privacy can be compromised since someone from the bookstore side can come ‘over’ to the House. The (slide bolt) lock for this door is on the side of the bookstore, and there is no other lock on the side of the House. This fact was unbeknownst to me until an incident occurred. When we came back to the House after an outing, we found one of the doors separating the House and the bookstore was open. My husband went to the bookstore to notify the staff and locked t

This property is locally famous which makes it an experience in itself. Expect to see people taking pictures of the house.
Stayed here once before and this time we were pleasantly surprised by the upgrades. Hard to do on an older property.
East access to downtown but you'll be fighting for parking around the house each day.

What a wonderful experience. The Gingerbread House genuinely felt like home. It was funny how our favourite rooms in the house kept changing. It was such a happy and big (but wonderfully cozy) place to come together as a family. Outside of the tiny little dilemma getting in due to code not working, we have nothing but positive things to say. I would highly recommend this HOME!

Our family of eight really enjoyed staying at The Gingerbread House. It was beautifully painted and decorated as well as extremely clean. The kitchen was amazing. The owner had left coffee, hot chocolate and delicious fruit for us to enjoy. The three common areas were all used and enjoyed. Everything was within walking distance. We’d highly recommend it!

I went with 4 of my friends for our 70th birthday year. We chose the Gingerbread House because of the size and location. We were more than pleasantly surprised when we walked in and saw how big and beautiful it was. Everything was perfct, it was immaculate and decorated with such fun things! We used every single room from the kitchen to the sitting room to the living room to the back patio. I can't say enough good things about this amazing house!

We had a GREAT stay, the house is amazing! So beautiful and well decorated!
I would make the upstairs "living room" into a bunk room to sleep more people. We almost didn't rent because we needed more beds. Girls trip and we like our own beds.
Also, they need to sell MERCH.... I found stickers in town and art in town. with the house on it. I would have been awesome to have some things for sale right next door.
We did find dirty dishes in the cabinet, and the dishwasher didn't work. But the home was very clean otherwise. They also need a whisk and more silverware, there were only 7 forks and 2 butter knives.

The rental was very clean and well decorated. The free DOT bus gave you easy access to the historical district. The 4th bedroom is just outside the master bedroom and very small, however; it was perfect for a child. The living room, kitchen, and dining rooms downstairs were very spacious. Upstairs was another living room with a table for games and another larger room with a table for 6 and bar. We were very pleased with this property.

This rental, with the history surrounding it, and the stellar job they’ve done decorating, while keeping some of the old touches was really something special. Walking out of the house just makes you feel special.
