Noble Jones Cottage was built for George Jones between 1799-1808. George Jones was born in Savannah, and participated in the American Revolutionary War. He was later a member of the George House of Representatives, and Georgia Senate. After his time as Mayor of Savannah, he was appointed judge of the eastern judicial circuit of Georgia in 1804, and served until he became a U.S. Senator. His father, Noble Wimberly Jones was a Georgia Delegate to the Continental Congress. In 1736, Noble Jones obtained a grant for 500 acres of land on the Isle of Hope that would form the core of the famed Wormsloe Plantation.

We loved staying in the George Jones cottage. We were a family of four (all adults) and individual bedrooms were great. The heat didn't work the first day, but they were able to easily fix it. The neighbors are loud, but we managed. A great location in the historic district.

Two friends and I stayed in the cottage for a long girls weekend and had a great time! Loved sitting in the courtyard and reading the history of the building. All attractions were an easy walking distance, and it was very quiet at night. The rental was clean, management was friendly and helpful, and we all had plenty of room. We look forward to coming back!

The cottage was adorable in a great location. We could walk to everything we wanted to do. The cottage is small but very well kept. It’s an historical site so the tour bus goes by and points it out. Not a problem at all. So much history in this area. The horse drawn carriage going by makes it even more charming.

My family loved this charming, historic home. The owners did a fabulous job with renovations and decor. It was a safe, quiet street and neighborhood. Adorable courtyard out front. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent again!
**There were some sugar ants in the kitchen. Also a nail pop was on the floor in front of the staircase

We had an amazing time at this cottage. We were able to park in front (at meter) which was perfect. We walked everywhere which was great. In the evening, we sat in the courtyard & watched the horse drawn carriages go by. It was truly perfect.

With old comes quirky sometimes. This 1799 home was clean and cozy. I would not recommend the stairs for the elderly or children. One of the upstairs bedrooms was not receiving proper air ventilation and stayed warm.
The outdoor courtyard could easily be improved and make for a special spot to land, but was basically not a usable space during our stay. Not what you expect for the nightly cost on this one. The location is very convenient and an easy walk to most attractions and restaurants.

A few hours before our visit to Savannah, the Lucky team informed us that the apartment we originally rented flooded. The team was fast and responsive, offering us three different alternatives. We chose the George Jones Cottage due to its location just a few blocks from all the splendor that downtown Savannah affords. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed, and its dark wood-paneling gives all the historic Savannah vibes. The last leg on a three-week roadtrip, the beds were heaven and the street nice and quiet. This is a 200-year old house, so the dimensions in the bathtub/shower has a low showerhead, so FYI to the taller folks! All in all, a delightful home away from home in splendid Savannah!

Charming 1700’s cottage with a perfect location in Historic Savannah. Close to everything! It was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Six guests were comfortably accommodated. The owners provided complete information, made great dining and “What to do in Savannah suggestions” , and were promptly responsive to questions. We highly recommend.

When we first arrived, the soap containers were almost empty and the heat wasn't turned on. Temp in the building was 40, which was disappointing. There had also been a leak in the ceiling above a bed, that left a stain on the top comforter. We called maintenance to come out and look. They did show up, however we didn't hear back. The rooms upstairs were cozy after we opened the vents. Downstairs main rooms and kitchen had cold floors, would have been nice to have a rug or 2. We did enjoy the proximity to a few stores and restaurants. I would only recommend this property to a friend during warmer months. We enjoyed reading the history of the building and the book with pictures of the last renovation.
