Description

This charming, one-bedroom, one-bath ground level apartment is just a stones-throw from Forsyth Park! Comfortable furnishings with a modern flair will have you “living like a local” on the Historic District’s famous Gaston Street. Located just a block away from beautiful Forsyth Park, this updated apartment is the perfect retreat for two or four Lucky guests.

Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a open space that offers a beautifully renovated galley kitchen, modern furnishings and a decorative fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can enjoy breakfast from the comfort of your home-away-from-home. The dining area is open to the living area, which offers a comfortable couch, and a large flat-screen TV. The bedroom has a Queen bed, and lots of closet space so you can settle in during your stay. The bathroom has a large tiled walk-in shower, and a lovely vanity where you can get ready for a night out on the town.

Savannah’s top eateries, including 700 Drayton and Clary’s, are all within a five-minute walk from..... Spend some time browsing the antiques at Alex Raskin’s, or tour the famous Mercer-Williams House on nearby Monterey Square. Get a taste of eating local by picking up fresh ingredients at the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays in Forsyth Park.

What is parking like for this home?
You have one assigned private parking space directly behind your apartment. Any other parking for this home is on-street and metered, which is enforced by the City of Savannah from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Guests are encouraged to either purchase a pre-paid parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center, or park on a nearby non-metered street. Guests should be wary of the posted Sweep Zone signs.

We enjoyed this rental very much--best things are proximity to Forsyth Park and a dedicated parking place. But what makes this a real pleasure is the excellent customer service from Lucky Savannah. They are attentive and quick to solve problems. We haven't rented from any other company for many years, and will continue so in future. Wish all rental companies were like them!!!

This was our 3rd stay at this unit. While the unit is well loved & in need of some TLC, we find ourselves pleased w/the stay. The only notes worth mentioning this time, was that the unit was not as clean as we've found it to be during our previous stays. The shower walls have mold/mildew and sludge & the shower head too. This was noted on our previous stay in March. As well as the shower curtain liner. We requested for it to be replaced but it was not done during our stay. This was also requested in March but the liner was still in the same condition. The vanity sink had toothpaste from previous tenants - I cleaned it myself w/cleaning wipes from home. The bedroom dresser & end tables were covered in dust - I wiped them down myself. The flooring throughout the unit had a residue/film. When called, LS sent the staff out immediately to clean the floors (she was so kind). As it dried, it was a little bit better, but still slippery. I eventually went over it myself with a damp towel. I'd guess that it was the cleaner solution was not diluted enough. The couch & living room rug had stains on it, but we just put our own blankets down when we used it. While we will continue to use LS for our future trips, I would love to look at staying at the Lynwood collection units just due to the fact that they seem to be in better shape.

We enjoyed being just across the street from Forsyth Park. We also appreciated the private parking. The apartment was surprisingly quiet. The only negative: The living room couch is worn out and needs replaced.

My husband and I stayed at Gaston Green in downtown Savannah. This condo was very clean and very cute. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Nice, big shower was a plus. The couch was not comfortable, however, we didn’t sit on it much. The condo was walkable to many places. I loved how close it was to Forsyth Park. Another huge plus was having an assigned parking spot in the back. The only issue we had was when we came back from a walk, there was water all over the bathroom floor. The company sent out a maintenance man right away. We thought the water was coming from the toilet, but, turns out it was from the washer. They were supposed to send out the man again the next morning, however, with it being our last full day there, I called and told them they could wait until we left the next morning. I just didn’t get to do anymore laundry. But, I was okay with that. Overall, we had a lovely stay and I would definitely book this place again. P.S. I am now in love with Savannah!

My cousin, husband, and I stayed here during our visit to Savannah. The setup was great for three people. The apartment was wonderful, and we especially enjoyed walking to Forsythe Park every evening for a picnic supper.

This rental is right next to Forsyth square and came with parking. Location made it easy to access the city. The rental was clean! Had a bit of trouble checking in with the access code given on the app but 1 quick phone call rectified the situation. Great stay. The only thing I didnt like was having to download an app to access lucky Savannah.

My stay at Gaston Green was great! The only problem I had was that several lights were out when I arrived which made the place very dark. I notified management the next day and they had someone there within the hour to replace all of the bulbs.
The location was perfect! Forsythe park was outside the door which made it great for my morning run. Close proximity to everything! I was there dropping my daughter off to her new apartment for school and I would definitely stay here again.
As others have commented, the couch could use replacing. The bathroom was beautiful. Having a parking spot is also a great plus when staying in Savannah!

I spent four wonderful days in this rental. It is perfectly located close enough to anything you'd need (restaurants, parks/squares), yet tucked away on a quiet street lined with beautiful trees and landscaping. The parking spot that comes with the property is a huge bonus as well. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept SO well. The only issue I had was that the washer and dryer unit was not in working order during my stay. Management did offer to launder my belongings or grant me access to an area where I could do so on my own, and I was satisfied with their quick and professional response. I did not remove any stars because my stay was, ultimately, perfect in every other way. I will definitely rent this unit again in the future. Thank you Lucky Savannah!

We are very familiar with the historic district and neighborhoods. When deciding on where to spend three nights with our toddler, we chose this apartment because of the private parking, ground level entry & being steps away from the park. This was key for our family getaway! The apartment was quiet, cozy. The bed was comfy w/extra pillows. We appreciated that the unit had an air purifier & extra towels. The bathroom & shower were good. A few additional closet hangers would have been helpful. The check in/out process was efficient & the staff was quick to respond to my messages. While we would most definitely stay here again, I did not give 5 stars all the way. The couch is VERY well loved & worn in. It was clean – but not comfortable to sit as the seat cushions are very broken in. The bedroom could use better black out curtains. The sun hits directly on the doors & they barely provide enough privacy, none the less block out light. I had to get creative using pillows & our suitcases to keep the curtains closed properly. Another note was that the flooring is laminate wood and there are several spots in the hallway/bedroom where the planks have separated. This wasn’t a major issue, more of a cosmetic issue. In addition, the door trim outside of the bathroom is missing. I’m guessing this was removed due to the washer/dryer not working, but it did leave some nails exposed that my son discovered. Again, without a little one, this would be more of a cosmetic concern. Lastly, is the washer and dryer; while Lucky Savannah would have provided us with another option to do laundry, it isn’t the same as being able to have the convenience of a working unit within the apartment. I would have appreciated being notified prior to our stay that this would be out of order. It appears that this has been out of order since October. I would strongly recommend checking with Lucky Savannah prior to your arrival so you can be prepared! Other than that, we thorough

This was our 2nd stay at Gaston Green and the location & set up is so perfect. The apartment has everything you'd need (minus a few extra closet hangers). We love staying close to Forsyth away from all the touristy spots. As in our first stay, the only issues would be the VERY well loved couch, the curtains don't close fully (but we brought clips this time), and the shower curtain & shower tile had mildew. The bed and linens are very comfortable & the apartment is very quiet! Even for the St. Patrick's Day crowds, we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was at night. We will definitely book again!

It was a great experience! As close as you can get to Forsyth Park and walking distance to most restaurants. It felt very safe and was quiet as night. The only negative was that it appeared that the thermostat didn’t work so most nights it was very warm in the rental.

Our stay was perfect. It was across the street from Forsyth Park and next to a trolley pick up spot. It was key to have a parking spot with this rental so we didn't have to deal with moving our car, driving around, or paying for street parking in Savannah. So many great restaurants and bars to walk to. Highly recommend!

Location was perfect. Walking distance to everything. Rental was nice. Only negative was a cigarette smell when first walking into the rental. I had read a review back in June stating there was a strong smell. I had contacted the agent whom said the problem was rectified. Not so, when entering unit there was a strong smell. once inside I got use to the smell. Once back home, I realized my clothes smelled like smoke and needed to wash everything to get rid of the smell. I feel like they need to paint the unit and do a thorough cleaning to get rid of the odor. If you aren't sensitive to smells you will be fine (my husband didn't notice it).

It's in a great location next to Forsyth Park and near a couple of coffee shops. The rental was a nice size and layout, the location was safe and quiet, and the rental was stocked with necessities.
The rental was clean but smelled of smoke every time we came back from being away. The last night was the worst and my wife is allergic to smoke. I knew it was bad, but when we got home all our clothes in our luggage smelled like smoke too; disgusting. Also, the drain in the shower hardly drains so you're standing in 2 inches of dirty water during your entire shower.
It's a nice place but they need to fix these few things or I wouldn't stay with them again.

Walking was amazing but the bike taxi was the buisness. Perfect location to quiet lil local restaurants with amazing food. The park had entertainment and we enjoyed the cute apartment. The manager texted to male sure we where ok and checked on us that we where having a good time it was so nice.

This is the perfect rental for anyone who wants to stay out of the traffic and crowds of the Bay & River Street area, but still wants to be close enough for convenient dining and shopping. It’s located directly across the street from Forsyth Park which was nice for walks in the morning. And, it’s beside SCAD - would be great for visiting family or friends of students. The rental itself was well stocked and comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. Roomy bedroom. It was very nice having parking in the back versus having to find a spot to park on the street. Would definitely recommend.

We were pleased with the rental unit and amenities provided. The assigned off street parking is a bonus. The unit is located next to Forsythe Park which is stunning. We walked every day taking in the beauty of Savannah, the local shops and cafes, riverfront, visitor center, etc. There are a lot of brick and cobblestone walks so I believe handicap accessibility is limited. I recommend this unit and would stay there again.

What this place offers is perfect for someone needing a place to stay while visiting. Almost everything was good, we never found the parking spot number though but were able to park somewhere. There was a towel hanging on the door when we arrived as well, outside of that, everything was great and we did enjoy the stay and would stay again if in the area which we hope to be again.
