Description

Located across from Colonial Cemetery, and only two blocks from Broughton Street, this ground-level apartment is just a few steps away from the hustle and bustle. Guests enter into the airy living room, that is accented with charming decor. The kitchen opens up to the living room, with a large butcher block kitchen island that is perfect for preparing a home-cooked meal! Guests will enjoy having a fully stocked kitchen equipped with a stove, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Off of the kitchen, guests will also find a stackable washer and dryer.

Toward the back of this cozy apartment, you will enter the oasis like bedroom with canopy bed and en suite bathroom. A queen size bed with hotel-grade linens awaits you, and the en suite features a tub/shower combination and a marble countertop vanity, with plenty of space to get ready!

Get a feel for Savannah's spooky side and walk through the Colonial Park Cemetery, with tombstones that date as far back as 1750. For those looking to take home more than a history lesson, head North three blocks to Savannah's retail hub: Broughton Street.

What is parking like for this home?
Parking for this home is on-street and metered, which is enforced by the City of Savannah between Monday and Saturday from 8am to 8pm. Guests are encouraged to purchase a multi-day parking pass from the Savannah Visitor's Center before their arrival. Please be conscious of the posted Sweep Zone signs.

We enjoyed our stay at this spot! If you are looking to walk between North and South historic districts and the river, this place is in the perfect location! It is just a 5 minute walk from many major squares, restaurants, Leopolds and more! We also loved having a clean place to stop for a bathroom/water break on days where we were doing a lot of walking and exploring. The bed was pretty comfortable compared to most vacation rentals I’ve tried, though it is SUPER squeaky. This place is definitely built for only 1-2 people to stay in and I would not recommend more than that. We mainly used it just to sleep, and it worked perfectly for that! The place is very old and it’s easy to tell. The property also has mini shampoos/conditioners/soaps when you arrive and multiple rolls of toilet paper, which was great! I wish it could have been a bit cleaner, as you can tell that they don’t pay attention to smaller areas like under the bathroom sink, in drawers, smaller surfaces. I didn’t feel comfortable walking around barefoot or putting my stuff in the bathroom drawers, just because I noticed some leftover dirt and grime from previous stays, but that would be my only gripe! Other than that, this place was a great stay for two for a trip to Savannah!

We stayed for three nights in the Colonial Blue unit and had a great time. The apartment was right in the historical district super convenient to everything. The unit had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

It was a good location and size for just the two of us for the weekend. The bed was very comfortable. Slept well! The sofa and chairs were NOT comfortable for relaxing. The building felt pretty secure.

We found the rental property to be quaint. It was located within walking distance to the river and restaurants on the Main Street. As far as the conditions of the rental; the floors could have been cleaner. Safety strips need to be put into the tub because when one was showering it became quite slippery. Other than those things it was enjoyable. Thank you.

The Airbnb was exactly as described. Great location, few minute walk to everything. Very clean and comfortable. Incredibly quiet at night, which I was very impressed with. Definitely recommend! We didn’t eat at the Airbnb but it has everything needed for a comfortable stay/eat in as needed.

The experience was okay, mostly because it's conveniently located a few blocks from the vibrant Savannah riverfront. However, I would not stay there again. The apartment is well decorated, but for my taste, a little overdone as there was little space to place your own belongings. The most important thing was that it's at the back of the building and gets no natural light. The only 2 windows are in the kitchen and they face a small courtyard that gets little sun. It felt like we were in a tiny cave. The apartment is about the size of small studio although it is divided into several small rooms. It needs of a deep cleaning (e.g., we had to clean utensil drawer and utensils before we felt comfortable using them; most of the pots and pan, toaster, and coffee machines are in poor condition and need replacing.

First time visitor to Savannah and like my home town New Orleans it stole my heart. From the Riverfront to Forsythe Park rich in history, architecture and laissez le bon temps rouler at The Social Beer Garden. The property was perfectly centered for walking and visiting all Savannah had to offer in the Historic District. Will be visiting Charleston next so it has some big shoes to fill. We will be back.

Pros: Great location
easy check-in and check out using app.
Extremely comfortable bed.
Lots of towels.
Good Wi-Fi.
Cons: There are only windows in the kitchen, so the rest of the apartment is dark.
The handle to control the water temperature in the shower is broken, so it was difficult to turn on and regulate. The spigot attachment is loose as well.
There were only 4 hangers in the closet.
There were two small bars of soap provided-we had to purchase something to use in the shower.

My hubby and I went to Savannah, just to spend a week. The apartment was in the PERFECT location! We were directly across from Colonial Cemetery. I worked from the apartment during the day and we walked historic Savannah in the evenings. I would suggest the apartment to have a couple of throw blankets would be great. And an extra roll of toilet paper. :-)

Hi, thanks for the opportunity to review my stay. There are many positives about this rental- location being the top one! It was great for walking to town and local attractions. I do want to make a couple of suggestions that would truly improve this rental: a new coffee maker and toaster - very inexpensive but would make a better impression. A stocked kitchen with aluminum foil and other basic kitchen supplies would make a big difference! There is nothing in there- these things are not considered Covid vectors! These items would not cost much ? The bathroom plumbing should be addressed for appearance- in the shower specifically- luckily the water was hot and had good pressure. A better TV with a better package is a “Must “! It’s ridiculous in this day and age for that small tv with minimal channels!! You cannot be out on the town every minute or read all the time! That was a big dissatisfyier! Again- something relatively inexpensive that would make this a much better rental! The bed was great. The couch- not so great after a long day of walking? Great location that could be made so much better by investing a few hundred dollars! The interior design draws you in- now just a matter of the details to make it a comfortable place to stay. Lucky Savannah was very responsive to calls and request- thanks for that! Very helpful! Thanks again.

My long distance boyfriend and I stayed here June 3-6 and it was perfect for our getaway. The space was charming and relaxing and had everything needed. The location was more than ideal as we could walk pretty much anywhere that we wanted to go. The parking was a bit tricky, but we managed. We also loved the recommendation lists from lucky and we got many ideas from them. However, they may want to think about updating the lists as some things they mentioned were marked as "permanently closed" when we Googled them. Overall it was an excellent stay!

The location is perfect. The rental was clean but a couple of things. All amenities were as described. I'm an outdoor person and would have enjoyed the courtyard but it was not as described. Also very Nast stains on couch as well as mildew in tub.

The property location, description and cleanliness was okay. I would have preferred in al vacation rental properties would have more cable tv options and a residential parking pass was included in all rentals. It is a small place enough for only 2 people. I rented from other vacation rental agents in Savannah but never had to provide a copy of my drivers license just prepay with my credit card so I thought that was strange that required I send them a copy of my license.

The room was beautiful and the location could not have been better, we were able to walk everywhere! My only complaint is that the couch didn’t look like it had been cleaned, but everything else looked great. We also couldn’t find any extra blankets which made it challenging since one of us slept on the couch and not the bed. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the Colonial Blue. The place is adorable and had everything we needed. It was cozy without being cramped, the bed was super comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location is perfect! We walked everywhere. Shopping, restaurants and River Street were a short stroll away. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was very comfortable and a neat historic home and location. Clean and well-maintained overall. The property management team was very responsive to questions prior and during our stay. We didn’t have all of the linens needed but they brought them by very quickly.

We didn’t spend a lot of time at the condo since we were outdoors a lot, but is was a comfortable place for us.

An amazing rental! Close enough to downtown to be very walkable, but far enough away from the noise and bustle. The unit was not large, but endlessly cozy, very well appointed, and tastefully decorated. The bedroom was absolutely romantic for a couples getaway, and although the bed was noisy, it was very comfortable. The location across from Colonial Park cemetery was quaint and spooky lol, but also very beautiful. Would definitely stay here again! Just be careful in the bathroom because there is a shelf that if you're not aware, might put out your eye! Also, the door code did not upload by check-in tome, but a quick and friendly call solved that.

Everything about this apartment was just what we needed. Just enough space for 2, very clean and comfortable, and close to everything! The designer of the space was very purposeful with the choices and maximized the space. We don’t know if the TV worked because we were unplugged from the outside world. Resting and exploring Savannah was the only thing on our agenda and this home did not disappoint us. I would tell every couple to stay here. The app that we were prompted to download was amazing! Everything was at your fingertips that you would need in your stay!

My wife and I spent our postponed honeymoon here. Originally we were going to stay at the beach, and are we happy that we ended up here instead. Short 20 minute drive to Tybee Island. This room is in the hear of Savannah historic down town. Definitely a special place to travel too!! We will be back again for sure!!

It was clean and well stocked too; the ONLY SINGLE issue to note is that the reusable hand towels in kitchen had not been washed, so that should be added to the cleaning list. But seriously, great location, super cute, and a great night sleep!

I took my daughter to Savannah to visit SCAD. Not only is the school impressive, but everything about Savannah made her want to spend more time in this city. Our apartment was charming — and the kitchen was terrific. Loved the washer and dryer. I recommend renting a car, but even if you don’t, you can easily walk to the shops, tours, cafes and sights from the apartment. There’s also a nice-sized grocery store/mini mart with everything you can want within steps. Highly recommend this place! 4 can stay here.

Colonial Blue is in a great location and beautiful neighborhood. Quick walk for coffee Cup to Cup, and other restaurants. Rental was clean and just as described. Furthest away we had to park from the rental was 2 blocks. Definitely watch the street sweeping signs to know which side you can park on.

Perfect full sized accommodations for two, with a bedroom, living room, kitchen and full bathroom. An abundance of reading material is provided if you forget to bring your own. Easy access to on street parking right outside the front door; after obtaining multi day parking pass. Fully functional kitchen. Short drive to Kroger or Whole Foods for groceries. Washer/dryer in rental for convenience. Wonderful location in Savannah. Very easy to walk to church on Sunday, to Forsythe Park, antique shops, River Street, Leopolds, The Pink House, Savannah Seafood Shack, Market Street and more. A wonderful way to simply enjoy Savannah.

Stay, location and accommodations were great. Parking was a little aggravating, but nothing worth complaining about. The heat wasn't working on our arrival, but the management team was quick to respond and had it working by the next morning. Overall, our stay was pleasant and we would definitely stay here again. One suggestion might be is to consider more comfortable seating in the den, if you plan to spend time watching TV (which we did due to cold rain all weekend).

Place was in perfect location. Two blocks from many stores and restaurants, but quiet enough to get away from everything if wanted. There’s not much natural light, but that was fine given that we didn’t spend much time in the apartment during the day anyways. For the price, this is a great place to stay!

We celebrated our 31st anniversary and was not disappointed by the rental or management staff who were always courteous and helpful. The Colonial Blue was a beautiful little place, clean and located so close to River Street, Forsythe Park, SCAD. Definitely not disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at Colonial Blue; the apartment is cozy and central to many Savannah sites. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and the property was within very easy walking distance of many quality restaurants and shopping. We loved our stay. The location was fantastic and allowed us easy walking access to all areas of Savannah. The neighbors were quiet and polite. The apartment is very nice. Service by the management company was outstanding. Our only issue is that when we arrived we found that The lights were unplugged and the ice cube machine was turned off. To take this apartment up a notch personally we feel they would need upgrade their appliances, decent cutting knives, and fix the shower. However I would still highly recommend it as it was immaculately clean and all the basics are there. We felt safe and right at home!!!
