Description

Surround yourself with historical furnishings but with the modern amenities you expect on vacation in this spacious, one-bedroom carriage. Resting behind a grand Forsyth Park estate, up to four guests can get a taste for high life in the South.

A set of steps lead you to this second-level carriage house, situated just one block from the famous Fountain at Forsyth Park. The living room allows for ample seating as you regale on the day's adventures. The living room sofa can pull out into a Queen sleeper to accommodate an additional two guests.

The kitchen is well-equipped with every essential you'd need for a quick bite or cup of coffee. Enjoy a slow morning at the breakfast nook before setting off to see Savannah's many wonders. The bedroom is just down the hall, with a Queen size bed and beautiful views of the city. En suite to the bedroom is a full bath with standing shower, all recently renovated with marble tile.

Guests will love being part of the Forsyth community; steps from everything the park has to offer while only being a short walk away from attractions further North towards the river.

What is parking like for this home?
This unit has on-street, metered parking which is enforced by the City of Savannah Monday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm. You have the option of feeding the meter, parking in a nearby parking garage, or buying a parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center. All of that information is included in our confirmation email sent upon booking.

We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more information.

We loved our stay at Cobb's Carriage. The location is excellent for walking all over the city and especially the park. We stayed here with our dog and I took him for walks all the time, in between meetings, as I was working remotely. The neighbors and property owner were so friendly, we can't wait to come back!

I came into Savannah for a week to visit my daughter and change my "work from home" scenery. The location was perfect, right across the street from Forseyth and a close walk to everthing. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was updated and large. The cottage had everything I needed. Not sure of the comfort of the sofa bed, as I did not use it. No dishwasher, but not a problem for me. Owner lives in the front house and is super friendly and actually gave me a tour. I would recommend to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and perfectly located place for a weekend, or longer.

Great location. Just steps from Forsyth Park for beautiful morning walk or to a DOT pick up if you would rather hop on local transit and ride. Parking was not provide but we were able to find free street parking on the same block for our our entire stay. Wifi was great for supporting a couple of “remote” work days. Would definitely choose this property for another visit.

This property was exactly as described in the listings. The property was very clean and well stocked with plenty of towels and other necessities. The proximity to beautiful Forsyth Park was perfect, and it was just a brisk walk to River Street the wonderful variety of restaurants in between. Parking was not an issue, especially when using the online parking app. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great location. About a 5min walk from the nearest parking garage, which isn't bad, but something to keep in mind. Our rental car got towed even though we paid the meter because people who lived nearby moved the barricades the construction worker had set out. So we had to pay $260 to get our car back. So I do not recommend parking on the street. The bed is comfortable and not hard like some other places I've stayed.

We absolutely loved our weekend staying at 450 Whitaker St! It was perfect to celebrate my fiancé’s and my recent engagement!! It was adorable and in the perfect location. We walked everywhere! Would definitely come back!!

This cute flat is just a few steps from Forsyth Park and is pet friendly. My standard poodle was quite at home. The apartment has everything you need, but could stand a more comfortable couch.

If you want to be close to Historic Forsyth Park look no further! This Carriage House is steps from the Park. The spacious unit is light filled and clean. it has a full kitchen complete with items needed if you feel inclined to cook. The bed was extremely comfortable with great linens. The bathroom is small, but has a great shower. The downside: It can get loud with passing traffic. This historic home appears to have the original windows. So if you are light sleeper this may not be the place for you. Better still bring earplugs because you cannot beat the location. It is walkable to Broughton and other great Savannah locations.

We had a great time staying at the carriage house.

The street noise was a little more than we expected and the Internet didn’t work consistently, but the location was unbeatable and the accommodations were very comfortable. It did get a little stuffy in the back bedroom; the AC didn’t seem to turn down low enough.

My stay at Cobb's Carriage House was perfect! It was an amazing location - steps from Forsyth Park - quiet and in great shape. The bathroom was beautifully refinished and the bed was extremely comfortable. The large closet came in handy when organizing my things for the week. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, very professional. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Perfect spot to see everything Savannah has to offer. We loved the proximity to Forsyth and easy walk to City Market. Pleasantly surprised with the size of the carriage house and amenities provided although the pullout couch wasn't the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. However, highly recommend this rental!

Upper floor, 1 bedroom located right off Forsyth park. Clean, recently updated interior. Owner of property lives on site and made us feel very welcome. Parking is on street, so if you have not visited Savannah before, familiarize yourself with that issue. Walking distance to great food and sites. We had a great time.

We had a great time in Savannah, the location right across from the park was excellent. The home was very clean and inviting. The representive I spoke with was very helpful, yes I would recommend this property and have already to several friends. Only thing I would have changed is having cable in the cottage. My fault for not noticing this when I booked.

Great location and we loved the space. The host was very friendly and accommodating. We were traveling with our dog and it was a really good experience for him as well. Lots of parks close by and the city is very dog friendly. You have to park on the street but there was ample street parking close by.

I stayed here for a week while my daughter was at a seminar at SCAD. The location was perfect, close to everything but far enough away from downtown to avoid revelers and most tourists (the tours are everywhere!)I got a lot of work done and was able to walk to every site I wanted to see in town.

Everything about this rental was perfect, especially the location! Right on Forsyth Park, only a 15 min walk to river street. We parked our car and didn’t move it until we left! Very clean and cute place. Has everything you will need. ONLY complaint would be that the living room wasn’t a very comfortable place to relax at the end of the day, could use a better couch! But other than that it was a perfect place to stay, we will be back!

We came to Savannah to evacuate Hurricane Florence. Luckily this int was available and allowed us to bring our dog with us. It was very clean and comfortable. The location was amazing! The only negative thing I can say is you had to do street parking and pay to park. We had to move the car several times because of using parking meters.

We moved away from Savannah one year ago and needed to return for my son's graduation from Georgia Southern University. Cobb's Carriage was perfect for us and our two small dogs. Conveniently located, and available parking on Gordon Street. Everything we needed. It was not a problem for us, but be aware that there is a lot of street traffic noise and light coming in the windows at night.

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 small kids) made the trek to Savannah for a wedding and we were “Lucky” enough to stay in the Carriage House property. What a fantastic place to stay. Right near Forsyth park and all the amenities Savannah has to offer. Stay here if you can!! You won’t egret it.

Stayed 5 days on business. All aspects on the stay were enjoyable. Parked block over on Bernard south of Gaston where there was no charge. Improvements could include a dishwasher and a more comfortable couch.
