Description

Up to six travelers will feel at home in this well-designed two-bedroom apartment with full kitchen and living area with pull-out sofa. The Windrose Apartment Hotel offers guests a boutique hotel experience without the fuss. Expect individualized attention from our staff of local guides with the privacy akin to staying at a friend's home. Located on the second level walk up of The Windrose Apartment Hotel, guests step outside into the heart of Savannah's bustling downtown scene - a splendid mix of shopping, dining, and old-town charm.

A secure key code unique to your stay ensures safe entry as you check in to your very own home away from home. Subtle nods to the hotel's nautical roots are carefully curated throughout the apartment. The Windrose knows how to make your travels easier by adding special touches throughout, like the built-in bench with wall hooks and mirror for entering and leaving the apartment looking your best. A full size kitchen anchors the room as you walk in and hosts all of the essentials for a comfortable stay, including a stovetop, oven, and full size fridge. Enjoy a cup of local brew at the bar counter as you map out your plan for the day.

Opposite the kitchen, a cozy living space with flat screen TV becomes your favorite hangout spot after a long day of exploring. Guests are welcome to access their streaming favorites like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime, or simply kick their feet up and enjoy conversation with a glass of wine.

The first bedroom is tucked behind an industrial-chic metal glazing, allowing natural light in should the guests choose. The King size bed with soft hotel-grade linens will be your respite at the end of your day, with a full size bath en suite. The second bedroom features a Queen size bed and its own flat screen TV. Unpack your suitcase with the all-in-one coat and luggage rack, with additional storage found inside the second full bath with standing shower, accessed from the main hall.

After a slow morning in, we recommend biting into the best pastries in town at Back in the Day Bakery. Spend the afternoon exploring The Starland District and be sure to grab a fresh juice at Brighter Day Deli before heading back North towards the river. For lunch, pop in to Savannah's newest vegan lunch spot: Fox and Fig. Their "Milky Shakes" are well worth the splurge. As you wander around town, shop some of the locally-owned stores like The Paris Market, Alex Raskin Antiques, and shopSCAD. For dinner, there's none better than They Grey, a Southern fine dining experience retrofitted inside an old Greyhouse Bus Station.

What is parking like for The Windrose?
Guests are encouraged to park their vehicles in any of the several nearby parking garages, which offer a reasonable daily rate and are within short walking distance of the hotel. Savannah offers plenty of fun ways to get around the city, including Pedicabs, horse-drawn carriages, Lyft and Uber. However, unless traveling to further attractions such as Tybee Island or Wormsloe Plantation, the entire Historic District is within walking distance.

The description of the property was accurate. The space was inviting and clean. It's also close to many hot spots in the area and mere walking distance from City Market and great restaurants. Be prepared to hear some music after hours until around 2am, but if you are fully enjoying the nightlife of Savannah you wouldn't even notice.

We recently stayed for a bachelorette party with 15 girls. We had the entire fourth floor and a unit on the second floor. We had one little snag with the VRBO listing saying there were more beds than there actually were, but Lucky Savannah immediately gave us another unit at no extra cost. Great customer service! The units are clean and well equipped. The design is very cute - boho modern and the location is really great! It is in downtown Savannah next to the bars, so it’s not the most quiet location but we were there to party so didn’t mind. Not a downside but something to note.. being a lovely old historic building the bathrooms are a little tight (but well designed), and there is no elevator. Would definitely stay here again!!

The space is in a prime location to have access to a very walkable city. The room was spacious and well-appointed and everyone was comfortable. There were some issues with communication with the property managers around billing and being overcharged, but the space itself was great.

Note: review contains considerations that may be cons to some but were fine for us.

This stylish apartment was a great spot for a last minute Memorial Day holiday in Savannah. The space was immaculately clean, the rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms worked well (with all the required amenities) for two friends away on holiday.

There was a bit of confusion about which app we needed to download to get access codes for the space but the property management was friendly, responded immediately and so there was no delay in making our way into the "hotel."

My only warning is... if you need it to be dark and quiet to sleep then this is not the space for you. Curtains/blinds provide privacy but don't block light. I'm an early riser, so this didn't bother me a bit. Also, there is zero sound insulation between the walls. We could hear what our neighbors were talking about, watching on tv, and coming and going in the halls. We could also hear the thumping of feet above us as there was clearly a party going on until the wee hours. We were generally amused by all of this and it was a holiday weekend after all but I understand that some might be annoyed.

GREAT LOCATION! SPOTLESS!

This apartment was PERFECT for what we needed for our trip to Savannah. The location is amazing and the space was roomy enough for us like an apartment, while still providing a special touch of hospitality like a hotel. Check in and out was seamless! They use an app that has all the info and codes you need to access the space, SO SIMPLE. Will definitely be checking availability for future trips to Savannah.

Absolutely in LOVE with The Windrose Apartment Hotel! Thanks to Lucky Savannah Vacation Rentals, the weekend get-away for our son’s 19th birthday was FABULOUS!!! I was extremely anxious after booking our stay and realizing it was St. Patrick’s Day weekend. With such a huge festival, I was concerned about parking, maneuvering around the city and overall safety. However, after several reassuring phone calls from Amanda at Lucky Sav ....my mind was put to rest. Due to our parking concerns on this particular weekend, she bent over backwards to grant us early access to the hotel. And I must say, the unit itself is sheer perfection! We loved every single aspect of this renovated treasure! We could not have asked for a more perfect experience!
