Description

Enhanced Housekeeping re: COVID-19: The health and safety of our owners, guests and staff is of utmost importance to us. We are taking extra precautions and steps to ensure that all professional housekeeping and interior property sanitation needs are not only being met, but exceeded, to ensure a hygienic environment. Specific enhanced steps taken include more commercial antibacterial cleaning products, staff wearing facial protection and gloves when in the homes, more frequent deep cleans, and continuation of our professional hospitality grade linen laundering services.

Built in 1875 on the lovely Jones Street, named “the prettiest street in America” by Southern Living Magazine, Sycamore House get’s its name from the towering Sycamore in the back. With two bedrooms and one-and-a-half baths, this home comfortably accommodates six Lucky guests.

An extensive interior renovation in 2012 successfully merged contemporary conveniences with the home’s original Southern charm. Pine floors, ornamental hearths, and wood ceiling beams are complemented by state-of-the-art appliances, cable television and wireless Internet throughout. The first of two living areas has matching decorative brick hearths, a loveseat, leather chaise and TV. The fully equipped galley style kitchen opens to a second living space, where you’ll find another large screen TV, couch and dining table. From here, French doors open onto your brick and ivy patio with a stainless steel gas grill and bistro seating.

The first of two bedrooms upstairs is warm and inviting with a comfortable queen sized bed to curl up in after a long day of exploring Savannah. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with plush pillow. The full bath has exposed ceiling beams, an oversized glass shower, and brushed bronze details for a stunning and unique look.

Non-metered Parking
This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends.

We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more information.

We enjoyed this rental for a few reasons. The location was excellent for walking to prime locations (eg- Forsyth Park). The interior was clean and the decor was “in period.” We especially liked that the rental was pet friendly. The only downside is that a nearby neighbor had dogs that seemed to be left alone a lot. The consistent barking kept us awake and on edge. Further, it prompted our pet to want to “join in”. That stress was not appreciated. I contacted management about the noise issue.

The home itself was great & we loved the location, however it definitely could use some TLC to address several simple maintenance issues (blinds broken, light bulbs out, GFI outlet issues, broken light fixture, etc). Just some minor attention to detail would work wonders on this lovely home.

We had a great time in savannah. The house was lovely as we love the exposed original brick and the historic look. It does have a lot of stairs, but it kept my legs in shape for a week. but we knew this when we rented it. Would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues as far as the stairs go. For children and toddlers it's a lot to hurdle. Literally you have to step up into the kitchen, steps up into the king bedroom, steps going into the upstairs bathroom. The upstairs bedroom with the king bed needs black-out curtains as the lights from the houses outside the window shine into the bedroom and makes it hard to sleep. The dishwasher needs something to stop that horrible sound that happens when you open and close it. Everyone in the house can tell when someone opens the dishwasher. Even with the issues we would still stay there again. The street is very lovely and the area seemed very safe for walking around everywhere. We would go walking in the evening and enjoyed xmas lights. It's very convenient to everything. Grocery store is nearby and we walked over several times as it has a Starbucks inside it. Most of the restaurants are over rated so just do you research well before going.

The check in process was super easy. The rental management company was very responsive. The location was perfect. It was close enough to walk to all the activity in town but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet for sleeping. Sycamore Main House is a historic home and as such had an old world Southern charm to it. They allowed us to bring our 2 "fur babies" who loved all the squares and parks nearby. We were here for Christmas and had a wonderful time.

The location was fantastic and E. Jones Street is truly beautiful with an unbelievable canopy of Oak Trees. Watching such a spectacular St Patrick's Parade made the world feel normal again after three years of Covid canceling events!

Beds were comfortable and clean. It is a 2 bedroom home and has 1.5 baths and was perfect for our quick visit to Savannah and Tybee. The location is walkable to shops and restaurants. It was clean. I would recommend. Also, parking was not an issue as it seems to be around Savannah-we found parking quickly.

Traveled with my wife and dog and this was a great location. Great walks to take the lab out and easy to walk to food and fun. Parking was plentyful and free and felt very comfortable walking at 9:00 out night around the neighborhood.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. It was in the perfect part of town for walking around and on a beautiful street. The house was sufficient for our stay. It’s an old house though with a few cracks and dings, but was very clean. FYI the stairs up to the bedrooms are very steep for any one with toddlers or someone with difficulties getting around. My only complaints were the beat up leather chair in the living room. It was gross and stunk... no one would sit on it. Also the place mats on kitchen table have to go... they smelled so terrible like someone dirty soccer jersey had been sitting on them!

We loved staying here for the location. Parking was not a problem at all. This was perfect for us but there really needs to be some furniture upgrades (the chair and ottoman was terribly worn old leather) and general maintenance. The deck outside the bedroom was great as was the courtyard. All in all, it was great and we had a wonderful time, even with the rain!

It was a nice place. A lot of walk up steps into every room but it wasn’t a bother.
Wish it had a little less furniture so the house could breathe.
Parking is easy on weekends. Monday -Friday the school takes a lot of the spaces

PROS: If you need a conveniently located place with adequate (and free) street parking, it will do nicely. It’s a short walk to any spot in the historic district, yet the location is quiet and Jones Street itself is charming. Lucky Savannah staff responded promptly to issues within their control (lack of kitchen utensils, questions about the electronic lock and outdoor grill).

CONS: Sycamore House presents overall as tired, a bit grubby and in need of serious maintenance.
• The HVAC is not up to the task of maintaining comfortable temperatures on both floors simultaneously. If downstairs rooms were warm, upstairs was stifling; if downstairs was cool, rooms upstairs were an icebox.
• There is an alarming issue with roofing/gutters that resulted in rainwater dripping through the family room ceiling during our stay. Stains and cracks indicate this problem is not new.
• We really couldn’t enjoy the back patio or upstairs deck due to an infestation of carpenter bees. The deck itself is badly in need of a power-washing and fresh furniture as reality bears little resemblance to the photos presented on the website.
• The rental is, as advertised, pet-friendly, and you will know it immediately on a humid day: a manky dog smell emanating from carpets and furniture. We had beautiful spring weather, but with no screens in any of the windows, it was impossible to air things out.
• Light control is a problem as the house is outfitted exclusively with the flimsiest of plastic blinds, some of which were broken. A professional window-washing was long overdue.
• With the exception of a few items, the décor is a lot of mismatched hand-me-downs that add to the overall frumpiness.

We’ve stayed in another Lucky Savannah rental, which was cleaner, far more up-to-date and mechanically/structurally superior, so suspect the cons are not Lucky Savannah’s issues but due to the

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the place was perfectly located to allow us to walk where ever we needed to go but far enough from the main areas to remain quiet and relaxing.

There were a couple small issues, the first is that I was happy I had my small tool kit in the car because the shower doors were both off the track and nearly impossible to open and close. One of the rollers was even on the floor inside the shower so had to do some maintenance so our youngest could actually take a shower.

The other item that was a little concerning was that it was extremely humid and warm in the "master" bedroom. It was mostly because the dehumidifier wasn't working properly. It was just warming the room and not actually taking the humidity out. We turned it off and just let the AC do it's thing and by the time we returned to the house on our second day all was better.

Overall I would say the house was comfortable and well appointed however some of the furniture needs to be replaced and a few of the ceiling lights are burned out. Very quiet area within easy walking distance of many restaurants, shops and parks. Parking was never an issue.

So much fun! Perfect location on the most beautiful street in Savannah! Very peaceful as welll! Perfect walking distance to everything! Basic amenities and very accommodating! We were able to cook and eat at the house a few times. Plenty of basic essentials provided (toiletries, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, TP, PTs, garbage bags...). It needed a few touch ups (hole in the patio upstairs and we questioned it’s safety so we didn’t spend any time out there). Overalll very quaint and accommodating!

Awesome location with so much to do within 1 mile. 1 mile to river street and even closer to other great restaurants, bars and shopping. Bring some comfy shoes and enjoy!

I stayed here with my sister and 3 young adult children for 4 nights in October. The house was big enough for us. Needs work so you can use the bedroom deck.
Only 1 shower. I was given the wrong code to get in but that was remedied with a quick phone call. It was okay of a stay. We went to Tybee island for another 4 nights. Bigger 5 BR house with huge deck outdoor living space 4 houses from the beach and $250 less, I will stay the entire time at the beach next time.

The house is adorable and has a lot of Savannah Charm. There was plenty of room and the location was walkable for most things. River St was a bit of a hike but we did it fine a couple times during our stay. While we are very happy with our stay and the service we received, I would not recommend having adults stay on the pull out sofa. It might be ok for kids, but did not work well for two adults so just be aware and bring an air mattress or something.

My husband and I planned a spontaneous trip to Savannah with our two dogs. Lucky Savannah was great when getting back to us about our request to book, and they contacted us within a few hours. The rental is in a great location! It's right by the cathedral and about a mile from Forsyth Park and River Street. We walked everywhere because of busy parking and our dogs, so this was a great location. The only negative thing I have to say is the front door works by a code, and Lucky Savannah never sent us the code. I called seven or eight times with no answer and someone eventually texted me, which was a little frustrating, but we eventually got the code and got in.

The aesthetics of the house, its location, and the price were all outstanding. The furnishings were inviting and comfy; the bathrooms, toilets, and shower worked perfectly, which makes a huge difference when traveling with children. However, the sofa bed for one of our kids was broken, so we had the options of sleeping three on a king or using an air mattress (neither proved beneficial). Property folks sent someone out right away, which was much appreciated, but it could not be repaired or replaced. A light shield in the kitchen fell during our stay (a little weird) and neighbors next door decided to party outside one night until 2:30 a.m. (violating Savannah curfew). Both incidents were reported to property managers who were gracious in vowing to help. We anticipated thin walls and creaky stairs knowing we were in an old townhouse in a historical district and worked hard ourselves to be quiet, but guests should know they'll hear voices and footsteps from adjoining properties, not to mention the sidewalk just inches from the front door. This was our third trip to Savannah in 5 years and we chose Sycamore House so we could leave our car parked and walk through the city. That proved beneficial as nearly every site we planned to see was within walking distance.

Five adults stayed here while visiting family for Christmas. Plenty of room for all! Walking distance to supermarket, shopping district, beautiful Forsyth Park. Small fenced-in yard, dog-friendly. Charming decor. Good WiFi, bathrooms, kitchen facilities. Easy on-street parking. Friendly, efficient management. Two things to note: Urban neighborhood, walking alone at night not recommended. House has rooms on several levels, not advisable if steep stairs are a problem. In sum, would happily stay here again.

First time to Savannah Ga. Very nice city, liked the more residential area for staying. Riverfront was very nice but busy. Home was nice, hvac when on heat was very noisy in king bedroom. Back patio gate needs to be more secure for pets staying. Upper deck was nice to sit out on. Need laminated instructions left out on how to use tv’s, etc. Lucky Savannah staff helpful as key code given for front door didn’t work on arrival, 3rd code they gave us finally worked.

Townhouse was awsome! But the globe in livingroon was alittle fragile and you need to provide umbrellas. Construction next doot was alittle loud. overall, we'd stay there again.

The home had a great location for exploring Savannah. Clean and comfy beds. Patio was amazing! Only downside was the steps to the bedrooms and carry luggage upstairs.

We had a great time in the sycamore main house. My husband and I along with 2 other couples came to Savannah to celebrate my husband’s completion of nursing school. Savannah did not disappoint. This is our second time staying with Lucky rentals and we will definitely use them again in the future.

The house was great and in the perfect location in historic district. We walked 2 short blocks and watched the entire parade. It was a bucket list to go to Savannah for St Paddy's. We walked to several Squares from the house.

It is a nice location in regards to the rest of Savannah, but the house itself needs some repairs. The air filters need replacing ASAP as they are horribly filthy (the one under the pantry on the way to the kitchen and the one on the stairs), and the pantry cupboard had an old gourd in there and spiders and other trash. There was also left over cake crumbs on a side table in the front living room so it didn’t seem to have been cleaned properly. The floor by the door upstairs seems to be warping from water damage too. Other than that it was a nice property very close to downtown so it was an easy walk to all of Savannah.

We stayed at the Sycamore House for 3 nights. It is located in the best location close to everything downtown and there is plenty of street parking.
The front door key code pad did not work upon our arrival but the Savannah Lucky staff arrived within 7 minutes of our call to fix the problem. The home is very nice, the beds are comfortable, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. I would definitely stay here again!

Lucky Savannah was a great company to deal with. Our door code didn’t work at first and an employee drove to our house and helped us with a new code. Our house was so charming! We did a lot of walking since we were close to everything.

Average experience because although the location was great the unit was not clean. It smelled like pet urine and I spent the first day rolling up carpets, putting them away and washing the floors which did help. There was also dirt inside the foldout couch when we opened it. On top of that upon arrival we spent 90 minutes in the rain trying to get the correct code for the door from management.

We could not have had a better place to stay or a better company to work with Lucky Savannah. The Sycamore House has all the feels of Savannah. It is on the gorgeous and famous Jones St. It has great spaces for your family. The deck off the master is phenomenal. We enjoyed everything about our stay and can’t wait to go back and stay again. We miss Savannah greatly.

The Sycamore House was better than advertised! From the minute we walked in, it felt like we had stepped into the heart of Old Savannah. Fron the pine knot wood floors to the exposed brick walls, the home was a perfect setting for our Holiday getaway. Well appointed with clean linens, comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen and all the modern amenities ( Cable TV and a really good WIFI connection).
Jones Street was beautiful and a perfect location to enjoy morning walks through the historic district of Downtown Savannah. Local eateries including "Clarys Diner" ( Clint Eastwood filmed here in the production of the film "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" ) and the famous "Mrs Wilkes" restaurant only a short stroll away.
Can't go wrong with this property. Definitely recommend!!

We rented the main house and the carriage house. While both properties were lovely, I wouldn't recommend the main house for elderly people. There are several step ups and step downs on the main floor. The stairs going upstairs are pretty steep. While the property was lovely and location was excellent, I had my 83 year old father and his wife. The home was a bit of a challenge for them.

Perfect Location! Property was very charming but had quite a few stairs. Would not be conducive to someone handicap. Being that it was a pet friendly rental there was a bit of a smell but that could be due to the age as well. All in all it was a nice stay and would stay there again!

I wanted to reserve this home in Dec. 2013 but it was already reserved for the time frame I needed so I was extremely happy to find that it was available in May 2014. The location is perfect, we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go and the home was very well laid out and nicely updated. I highly recommend this home for other folks looking for a great home in a great location within Savannah's historic district.

Comfortable accommodations for three adults and small dog. Lots of stairs, but not a problem for us. This home was outside the tourist area, but close enough to walk to riverfront, city market, and shopping-took us 20-25 minutes. Sycamore House is located in a beautiful part of the historical area, quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect house for 4 adults on E Jones Street. Convenient for walking to Forsyth Park and around the historic district. Great breakfast served at Clary's Cafe, a 5 minute walk. Kroger is a short drive if you have forgotten anything. House was well equipped and clean. Overall, a great stay. We picked up a parking permit from the Visitor's Center when we first arrived which allows you to park in a metered space with over an hour of parking. We had to move our car for street sweeping on Friday and Saturday night but it was no big inconvenience. If you take the time to read the information there is no confusion!

Property was lovely, had a few issues that LS took care of immedidately. Wobbly toilet seat, wobbly toilet (!), sketchy wifi (to be expected), less than clean master bath (LS refunded our cleaning fee-WOW!)and scary hot dryer (think you might have a fire hazard there). None of these things ruined our stay. We rent 3-4 properties a year so we know what to expect. Things happen. How those "things" are handled is what makes or breaks the trip. Sidney from LS was extraordinary and taking care of all our problems. She had maintenance over at precisely the time she said they'd be there. They fixed the issue in less than 5 minutes. She refunded our cleaning fee which frankly was what needed to happen but totally unexpected. Lastly, she got us back door reservations at Ms. Wilkes which made us feel special. All of the things Sidney did won our loyalty to LS.

See ya'll next year! Give Sidney a raise; she's earned one!

This was our first visit to Savannah. I thought the property was clean and well maintained. I brought my small dog, and the courtyard was perfect for her. The location was great; we had no parking issues at all. It was about a mile walk to River Street but was a nice walk. Clarys had a great breakfast and was very close to the property. The customer service was great and I would recommend this property to friends and family (however not to older people due to the steps)

The home was extremely clean. The beds were comfortable. Appliances were up scale. There was a must-like smell in the house, but seemed to be less apparent when the a/c was run. The deck is off the bedroom, and not the main floor as we had thought. It would be great if there was a fire pit out back for the more chilly nights. We were able to park out front - there was no cost to park.

The location was incredible. About a half mile to the Riverfront, but there were neighborhood bars/restaurants within walking distance. Kroger's was also in walking distance. We felt very safe - it was a family friendly place.

Sycamore Main House was perfect. Very Clean. Amenities were great.Location was excellent, we could walk to any attraction easily. There are lots of steps in the house so anyone with mobility issues may have difficulty but for our family of 5 (which includes 3 adult children) it was great. Parking was no issue and we were always able to find a spot close to the home. It would be difficult for me to return to Savannah and not stay here. 100 percent pleased with our stay. Lucky Savannah was great to work with, very friendly staff, very accessible! In my opinion they went over and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Would recommend Lucky Savannah and Sycamore House to anyone looking for a rental in Savannah.

This townhouse was perfect for a woman with two young teenaged girls. We felt safe on the quiet street. It was a nice and easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops down my the river. We loved being in the old townhouse. It has so much character, and all the modern amenities.

There are stairs everywhere, 18 to second floor 2 more to bedroom 2 more to bath 2 to kitchen .. Great location, but there were no hangars and no hot water in the shower. It was fixed and staff was helpful. Courtyard needed help, some broken furniture and weeds, could be lovely. Lucky Savannah is closed on weekends, there is an emergency number but...
