Relaxed Cancellation & Refund Guidelines: We understand the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, and the concerns for reducing out of pocket expenses and maintaining flexibility with future plans. We have modified our policies in an effort to allow the greatest flexibility and least strain on your lodging decision. For all new bookings made through May 15th, 2020 for dates of arrival through Dec 31, 2020, we have reduced the initial deposit to 25% of the booking total with cancellation and refund all allowed up to 7 days ahead of arrival. (a 3% processing fee may still apply if we are unable to get credit card fees refunded). *Limitations apply for Airbnb reservations.

Enhanced Housekeeping re: COVID-19: The health and safety of our owners, guests and staff is of utmost importance to us. We are taking extra precautions and steps to ensure that all professional housekeeping and interior property sanitation needs are not only being met, but exceeded, to ensure a hygienic environment. Specific enhanced steps taken include more commercial antibacterial cleaning products, staff wearing facial protection and gloves when in the homes, more frequent deep cleans, and continuation of our professional hospitality grade linen laundering services.

Situated on the ground level of a row house in Savannah’s Historic District, this one bedroom one bath apartment offers ideal accommodations for two Lucky guests.

Entering into the living room, you’ll have a large sectional sofa to sink into and enjoy movie night on the flat-screen TV. The tile floors, dark wood cabinetry, exposed brick and ceiling beams give this space a secluded feel that will have you relaxed in no time. With gorgeous wide-plank floors, more exposed brick and a second ornamental fireplace, the kitchen is unconventional, but has everything you need to enjoy a home cooked meal at a bistro table for two.

You’ll enjoy a large bedroom with a queen size four-poster bed and a full en suite bath with separate vanity area. The bedroom has direct access to the lush courtyard, where you’ll find ivy covered stones walls and plenty of seating. It’s the perfect quiet spot to enjoy an afternoon picnic with friends or curled up with a book.

Everything you could want is within walking distance, including stunning sights like the restored Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, historic homes you can tour, like the Flannery O’Connor Home and the Mercer Williams House, and the delightful shops along Broughton Street. You’ll be just two blocks from Clary’s Cafe, a favorite of locals and visitors alike, and a short walk away from Forsyth Park, Savannah’s largest green space.

We loved the apartment at 407 Charlton Avenue in Savannah, Ga. It was very comfortable and yet had that historic feel that we wanted. Just to be staying in a house built in 1872 was a treat. It was the perfect location to tour the historic district of Savannah. The courtyard was beautiful and we would have loved to spend time there but it was cold the weekend we were there.

This was our 5th trip to Savannah and our 4th time staying at a Lucky Savannah property. As with all Lucky Savannah properties, the Charlton Garden Apartment was clean and inviting. The location was great - on a quiet street not far from City Market or River Street. While the apartment could use some updates (furniture a bit worn, bathroom really needs updating), we enjoyed our time there and got some much needed rest. We did have an issue with the AC, which Lucky Savannah promptly fixed. John, the maintenance person, and the Lucky Savannah office staff were very responsive and absolutely wonderful! We will be staying at a Lucky Savannah property again and we recommend their properties to all of our friends.

The location was perfect, 10 min walk to a grocery store, 20 min walk to all the restaurants and shopping by the river. Very quaint rental. It was pretty clean. Dealing with the thermostat was a disaster; it would be set to 70 and we would go to bed and woke up in a sweat with it at 80. So we turned it down a a couple degrees and it was ice cold. Figuring that out was annoying. The upstairs neighbor would play guitar almost 24/7 (when we were in the house, mornings and evenings/nights). It was cool the first 10 minutes but then it would never stop, sometimes at 8/9 in the morning (if you like to sleep in) other times past 10/11 at night. Very nice people though, we met the lady in the back shared courtyard but you can definitely hear them upstairs. The couch feels quite old and worn. The bed is EXTREMELY squeaky, makes a lot of noise simply turning over from one side to the other.
Other than those few complaints, we loved our stay and spent most of our time out and about. Great location. The company was also very nice to work with and helpful. We would stay again.

Location is great. Place was cute. Basically in basement so not alot of light but we knew that. Kitchen and bath room were very outdated they could fix it up. Courtyard was great. AC worked ok but not great. No tv in bedroom . Warning guy upstairs is a music teacher we think and you can here him from 9am to 5pm. At first it was cute but by day 3 not so much .

This was our second stay in the Charlton Garden Apartment. Everything was perfect once again, from the cleanliness of the unit to the fantastic location. We especially love the outdoor garden terrace where we have coffee every morning. You couldn't ask for a better location in the historic district. Our rental was quaint and charming. Perfect for the two of us. It was such a romantic setting. Everything we wanted to do was well within distance; in some cases, you could walk to it. We even sat in the back courtyard which was beautiful. It was an easy check-in and out. Loved it.

It is perfect for a couple and looks like the pictures on the website exactly. We took full advantage of the garden for morning coffee and evening sundowners. The bed was very comfortable but did have a squeak when shifting in the night which could wake up one's partner. We enjoyed the privacy and feeling of "living" in Savannah that you do not get when staying at a hotel.
Most everything is walking distances or a $6 Uber ride away. We loved walking the streets and parks nearby, taking in the charm of Savannah.

Only complaint was that we could hear the upstairs neighbors music as if it was in the apartment. Nice classical guitar but if you don't like this sort of music, it could be annoying.


Suggestions: Sharpen the knives, provide a few more serving bowls, clean the mildew on the bathtub ceiling

Communication with Lucky before and during our stay via portal and text was great. Location was good. Parking wasn't an issue, usually right out the front door. Some of the ameneties could be updated, i.e., old tv, small coffee pot. There was no broom/dust pan to clean up the leaves we were tracking in from outside. Friday and Saturday morning we were being serenaded with guitar by the upstairs neighbor, luckily they were pretty good so it wasn't too annoying. Over-all we had a good stay with no regrets.

First time to Savannah and couldn’t have been happier with this apartment! The location was perfect, we walked everywhere. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities you could want. The biggest bonus was the outdoor space to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing! Would recommend Screaming Mimi’s pizza just down the road for a great slice!!

The apt was clean had everything we needed, the courtyard was a lovely place to sit and rest. The location was perfect across the street from Troup sq a short walk to both the free dot bus and the grocery store. The management company was very friendly and helpful with tips for dinner and shopping. The only things that bothered us was the apt had little natural light and the front and back doors and tiny steps that can be tripping hazards but overall it was wonderful.

We loved the music from the home above. There was quite a bit of early morning activit above that prevents from sleeping in. The foyer and porch lights did not work. Very dark entry as we arrived after dark.

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Walking distance to almost everything which was great to work off all the food we ate. On street parking was available even though we hardly used the car while we were there. The apartment was quiet and just what we needed.

Beautiful, cozy little apartment in a convenient part of town. Comfortable furnishings with everything you need to make your stay perfect. Loved have the convenience of a washer and dryer also. Parking was street front and for the most part it was easy to find a space. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this for anyone.

This Garden Apartment was lovely and just as described. The location was absolutely perfect. It was close enough to walk everywhere (restaurants, shopping, Broughton Street, Forsyth Park) but it was in a residential part of downtown, so there was not much vehicle or foot traffic, making it quiet and relaxing. The property was well maintained and clean. Plenty of towels, bedding, pillows were provided. There was free parking on the streets in this area, which was really nice.


There were only a few very minor negatives about this property:
1. It took us quite a while to figure out the wifi network and password. I checked and rechecked the app. but still had issues figuring it out. We finally got it working, but more clear and easy to find instructions would be great (maybe a piece of paper near the router, for example).
2. The toilet was very low to the ground. I understand that this is an old, historic building, but a regular height toilet would have made a big difference. If you are super tall, be aware you will basically feel like you are sitting on the ground. Investing in a $150 toilet would make a more comfortable stay for guests.
3. The bedroom was quite warm at all time. The AC worked very nicely in the rest of the apartment, but the room always felt warm. Having a fan in the storage closet for guests to use would be great.
4. I do not believe that the apartment number is actually listed on the outside of the property. We arrived to Savannah after dark, and we had to climb the stairs of a few homes to get the house numbers. We knew what the apartment looked like via the pictures, however things look different in the dark. The lights were on in the property, which was very nice coming after dark, however ensuring that the house number is listed on the property would also be helpful to guests who are coming in after dark.

My wife and I wanted to get away for a long weekend and we were so very pleased with this rental. The location was fantastic close to everything but off the path just enough to be quite and cozy. The rental was outstanding very clean and accommodating. A perfect rental for a couple looking to reconnect.

This apartment was lovely and a perfect location for walking around the historic and victorian areas of the city. We are walkers, so we even walked to the River district several times.

We only had one hiccup in our stay. We were offered the option of staying an extra night. Since we had the time and really weren't ready to head home, we accepted the offer. Unfortunately, since our original reservations were suppose to end, the management company didn't adjust the ability for us to have cooling in the apartment that extra night. We were pretty miserable as the heat continued to come on (and we needed cooling.) We understand is was just an oversight, so we would not discourage anyone from using this wonderful property.

The private courtyard was a perfect setting between excursions or at the end of the day.

This place was wonderful! It has so much personality: historic, artsy, comfortable, and the lush back garden was a real plus for us. The free Dot buses are every 20 minutes and take you to all the historic sights. The closest stop is 2 blocks away. The neighborhood is beautiful.

Loved the apartment and the location. Need throw blanket in living room for cool nights watching tv. Can walk everywhere, we never moved our car! Must go to Mirabelles for best breakfast waffles ever! Only 2 blocks away.

This gem looks exactly like the pictures on the website. Very comfortable for two people with lovely garden to enjoy your coffee or wine. Had a great shower, good towels, and nice bedding. It was a mile walk to the City market and River street but very enjoyable. Lovely quiet residential area with easy parking.

The reservation and directions we received were very easy to follow. The location was great and it was easy access to any place we wanted to go in the historic district of 'savannah. The home was very clean and very comfortable and we highly recommend the property.

Went to Savannah for a long weekend and loved our little house. It was about a 15 minute walk from the water. The house was very cute and clean. We felt right at home. Only issue we had was the bed. You couldn't sit down on it without it squeaking really bad. I was also shocked by all the fees that we were charged. I didn't see all of them before I hit submit. Overall I would stay their again!

This was our second stay at the Charlton. Like the first visit, everything was perfect. The apartment was cozy and well appointed. The location is excellent, being in the heart of the historical district. Kroger supermarket is a short ten minute walk for stocking up on goodies. The river front is nearby as well.The folks at Lucky Savannah are friendly, promt and professional, should one needs to contact them. Very enjoyable visit. Hope to return soon!

Using a f-star rating, I give the apartment and it's location 4.5. We truly enjoyed the location and the apartment. The place was clean and everything worked. The rear patio area was a real treat that allows for hours of relaxation in a beautifully maintained piece of nature.
But I would be remise if I didn't mention a few minor things. 1- In my opinion the different levels of the floor near the entrance and the rear door can be dangerous to someone who doesn't know the place. And the parking situation was terrible. Usually by 6:30 AM the students have taken nearly all open parking spots within blocks.

Pedicabs are a cool way to see the beauty of the area and very cost effective! There is also the fare free transit bus and Uber/Lyft are readily available. If you're looking for fresh air, the city is totally walkable as well! We also have a dedicated sales team that would be delighted to recommend a rental for you that includes a parking space! There are so many options, and we'd be glad to help you explore them upon your return to the Hostess City of the South!

This is a charming getaway place, close to the good and historic parts of Savannah, and very quiet as opposed to the River St. shenanigans. Since this is through an agency, the kitchen did not have the usual condiments you expect in a self-cater (Salt, pepper, sugar, etc.), and the coffee filters were not the right ones for the maker that was there. We arrived in a downpour and the lock box was stuck - three folks from Lucky Savannah came almost immediately and we all got soaked together, but they were prompt and apologetic.

We had a wonderful stay at the Charlton Garden Apartment. The location was perfect. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The best feature was the garden in the back of the apartment. We sat out there each morning enjoying our coffee and listening to the sounds of birds and running water (from the fountain). Troup Square is just across the street and it's in the middle of the historic district. This made it easy to walk all over the city and down to the riverfront. We would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect location to walk to everything in the historic district in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We never got lost because we could always locate the RED door and find our way home.
We loved the layout, amenities and especially the courtyard. It was filled with songbirds, flowers and relaxation! Perfect for having coffee, a snack, cocktails before dinner or just reading and enjoying the weather.
Savannah is lovely and our vacation was one of our best ever. We walked more than 4 miles each and every day and soaked up the beautiful weather and surroundings as much as possible. We could easily return to the apartment for late afternoon R&R before heading out for dinner and evening walks in the squares! Thank you for sharing such a cozy comfortable apartment with us!

The apartment was spacious, comfortable enough and cute. There was also a lovely backyard patio. It was a ground floor apt., and occasionally noisy from the people (owners?) upstairs. It was a bit further from the center of old Savannah than we usually stay, but the neighborhood was charming and there was free street parking. Overall, a nice spot for a short term getaway.

This vacation rental is ideal for a couple looking to spend a few days in the heart of Savannah while having a quiet place to sleep. It's only a short walk from the shops and restaurants on Liberty St, and less than a mile from the riverfront. But the street, and the apartment itself is set away from all the hustle and bustle, so you won't hear a peep if you're looking for a good night's sleep. There's also a nice outdoor patio space for an afternoon snack and cocktail.

This home is so cute and adorable. My husband and I came to Savannah to Elope and stayed in this home for a whole week in December. We actually left on Christmas Eve morning. I kept referring to it as our house and was we were joking that we would call the rental company and tell them were would never be leaving this place. The location of this property deferentially made the trip for me. If we had not be within the historic district I would not have enjoyed my trip as much. We had free parking on our road so we didn't have to were about a meter and EVERYTHING was within a short walking distance.

The overall experience was good the location was very nice and within walking distance. However upon our arrival I felt that the appearance of the apartment was un-maintained. The leaves at the front door looked like they had not been swept for months and looking at the homes around at the other homes and their doorways were maintained. There was a dead flower and nasty green water on the table again as though nobody had been there in a while. Very dissatisfied with the overall cleanness of the site. The doors front and back were very difficult to open as they seemed to stuck, this was concerning as to being a fire hazard and in the bedroom on the inside of the exterior wall seem to have some sort of mold growing. Was very satisfied that when we had issues with the AC and dryer the service was very helpful and quick to respond.

I can't say how pleased we were with the location of this apartment. Located on one of Savannah's historic squares, this rental is within walking distance of several historic sights. It's even within walking distance of the On/Off tour bus stops, which would allow you to easily access downtown Savannah without driving. It's also a cheap Uber ride away from anything you'd want to do on or around Riverstreet. Clary's Cafe is a famous breakfast spot just a block or two around the corner. The only time we used our car during our three day visit was to head out to Bonaventure Cemetery.

The rental itself is part of one of Savannah's historic homes, and has a beautiful garden out back. The only feature that could probably use updating was the shower/toilet; however the rest of the apartment had all updated amenities.

Overall, if you're looking to find a place that is well suited to see Savannah and not spend most of your time in the apartment - while also having more privacy and comfort than a standard hotel room (for a little less money, I might add); then this is the perfect place for you. We would definitely return here for future trips to Savannah.

Six years ago I fell madly in love with Savannah and my husband and I have made annual trips ever since. This was our first time staying in a rental property and we could not have been any more satisfied with the experience! The staff at Lucky Savannah was extremely responsive while booking our stay. The online app was useful and I especially appreciated the notification that our place was available for an early check in.

The Charlton Garden Apartment was so charming and exactly what you would expect for a one-bedroom apartment in the historic district. If you are looking for something modern and pristine, this site may not live up to expectations. But if you are looking for a beautiful space that proudly displays years of history mixed modern conveniences, you will not be disappointed. For us, this is exactly what we want when staying in the historic district (and the reason we always preferred The Marshall House to modern hotels).

One of my concerns when booking this apartment was that it did not have dedicated parking. There were no parking meters on our street and there was always a parking spot available within view of our front door. Win-win!!

We will definitely be staying with Lucky Savannah on our next trip. The ability to live like a local only made our love for the city deeper and we can't wait to get back.

If we will go back to Savannah one day we will sure stay again in this charming appartement !
We got everything what we wanted and more !
The rooms are very spacious and are lovely decorated. The apartment is beautifully designed - we really loved the brick walls... The bedroom is bright and comfortable (just as there is enough space to stow away the clothes) with a nice view overlooking the beautiful arranged backyard. We loved sitting on the covered terrace and enjoying our morning coffee. The apartment is well equipped, well cared and absolutely clean. Located in a very nice street, it's just a short walk down to the river. The neighborhood is absolutely pleasant and we enjoyed walking around the nearby streets. If you have a car, street parking is easy available and during our stay we did not have any problem to find a parking place. A well-stocked supermarket is also easily reached. We were really happy that we had found this lovely and extraordinary place. Working together with Lucky Savannah was simply good and it made us feel that we were in good hands during our stay.
Overall, we would highly recommend staying at the Charlton Garden Apartment if you are looking for a unique and comfortable alternative to a traditional hotel stay.

This is a really nice place to have as home base for your Savannah visit. I walked everywhere as the location is close to most things you're likely going to want to visit. Beautiful neighbourhood right across the street from Troup Square. It's nice to live like a local when travelling. I truly enjoyed my visit to this charming city!

This little cozy apartment was perfect for 2 people! It was in an awesome location, with a short walk to the best places. Would stay here again!

When my husband and I reached the apartment, we fell in love! It was a beautiful, quaint place that made us feel at home. We didn't feel like we were on display like staying at a hotel, locati9n was amazing and just loved how inviting it all felt. Super clean and so nicely decorated.

We had an excellent time in Savannah. We are so glad we found this gem on Charlton Street. The neighbor above is a music teacher, so that was cool. The apartment is very well kept, maintained and very cozy. I would definitely recommend this for a couples getaway.

We had a wonderful Savannah weekend in this charming property which was even better than described. It had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend, an equipped kitchen so we could eat in or out, a lovely patio to enjoy our evening glass of wine and more than enough living space to simply relax and hang-out. The property is well-located in a quiet neighborhood, close to restaurants, parks and a grocery store. We could walk everywhere and never have to move our car. We highly recommend this for a romantic weekend getaway for two.

We were in town for a "Royal" wedding. The location was amazing, the facility/home was on point. Loved the courtyard and the owners were so accommodating to our special circumstances. Can't wait to come back and stay here!
