Description

Be in awe of this beautifully restored Carriage House as you walk up the short flight of stairs to the open and airy living area. This spacious apartment is located on the second floor and boasts with light, only steps away from Calhoun Square and one block from the city's largest green space, Forsyth Park.

Furnished with modern accents, inviting white shiplap from ceiling to floor, and sliding barn doors, this unit is ideal for the distinguished traveler. The living space offers a full-size sleeper sofa, a high-top table perfect for enjoying a morning cup of joe, and full size kitchen for all of your needs.

The bedroom features a Queen size bed, with en-suite bathroom, off of the main living space. The bathroom offers a spacious standing shower, and large vanity with plenty of storage.

Just a block away from the Fountain at Forsyth Park, this gorgeous carriage house is also a short walk from other Savannah attractions, such as: Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room, shopSCAD, and Alex Raskin Antiques. Head North towards the river for a romantic promenade through the squares. Be sure to stop at our favorite local spots along the way, including: Adam Turoni Chocolates, Collins Quarter, and The Paris Market.

What is parking like for this home?
Parking for this home is on-street and metered, which is enforced by the City of Savannah from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Guests are encouraged to either purchase a pre-paid parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center, or park on a nearby non-metered street. Guests should be wary of the posted Sweep Zone signs.

I loved this place and everything it had to offer! It was perfect walking distance to literally everything and is in the most beautiful part of town with historical landmarks right around the corner. The property management was amazing. (im directionally challenged if you will) but she offered to drive down immediately to help me get to the right street and was able to get us a discount for one of the nights! The only thing i wish was different was the couch and tv in the living room.. a little disappointing but it worked out because my boyfriend and I spent most of our time exploring the city anyways.

We enjoyed our stay at the carriage house. We were able to walk most every where! The place is very small but perfect for two people! And the price was right! The owner was very friendly too. We'd definitely recommend staying here!

Place was updated and cute, in a great location if ok walking. Easy street parking only have to pay M-F 8-5. Couple rather dirty white rugs, so bring slippers but the rest of the place clean. Some street noise and neighbors. No other issues.

We enjoyed the stay, and the "little" home was cute. However we did have a major issue with bedding, but it was solved the next morning. We were unsuccessful in getting the Wi-fi to work to use our laptops for work, so we had to tether to our phones and for some reason the TV kept losing its signal when we would try to watch movies a couple of nights.

If you’re traveling by yourself or with a loved one, this place is perfect. The bed is comfortable, the shower is hot, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The only thing I wish it had is an outdoor space to enjoy my coffee, but you can walk half a block away for one of the numerous area parks. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and to recommend it to anyone.

Great little carriage house 2 blocks from Forsyth Park, and one block from Calhoun square and one of the most haunted houses in all of Savannah (432 Abercorn). The house was well-stocked, in great shape pretty and had a wonderful selection of paid subscription channels during our downtime from city roaming. We loved it.

The Calhoun Carriage rental is extremely small (approx. 12'x15'), but managed to be enjoyable for our Momcation weekend stay. The fixtures, hardware, etc. are upgraded and the unit was clean. The queen bed mattress is firm! and the frame is made of metal, which was noisy throughout the night when switching positions. The bathroom is tiny and can only accommodate 1 average sized person at a time (a heavier person would have challenges). The unit doesn't lend itself to relaxing/lounging - there's just not enough space. Overall, my daughter & I had a nice stay. Check-in & out was a breeze.

This was a small apartment but it was clean and nice. There were issues with the AC, but the rental company sent someone out right away to fix it. The apartment was in a great location, we were able to walk to almost everything! With that said, I do wish they had bikes you could use, we have stayed at places before that offer that and with how the city is, that would have been a nice touch.

This was the perfect little carriage house apartment for our stay. Clean and cozy and excellent location! Loved every minute of it. Only negative was that it was next to a boarded up unit so not the greatest curb appeal. But that didn’t effect anything about our stay here. Parking spot right in front. Steps to Calhoun Square and Abercorn. 2 blocks from the park, Clary’s Cafe for breakfast, and Jones Street. Thumbs up!

Overall I am happy with my stay here. I had issues with the internet but they were quickly and helpfully resolved (I mistook the modem for an air freshener, oops). I love this area of Savannah, am very familiar. One thing I didn't see on the listing is that if you part East of Abercorn the parking is free, so if you're staying here in the future keep that in mind for overnight parking, and pay attention to sweep times!

My issues were: there is mold on the bathroom ceiling and inside the upper cabinet. Besides that the shower could use a thorough cleaning and de-molding as well. The other thing was that it would have been nice to have the small essentials like hand soap and laundry soap, more the hand soap. Small daily essentials like that I would not have expected to have to go buy for myself.

I booked this for a girls trip with a friend. It was the perfect location, right around many places which was great. It was small but PERFECT for a long weekend getaway. Very clean and well furnished. We had problems with the wifi but lucky savannah sent someone out to assist us right away. Only downside, the property is right near a construction site so I would wake up very early on the vacation. But only one little blip in the stay. I would stay here again!

Lucky Savannah Vacation RentalsJanuary 2023
Great location and nice small space. Although the place was clean, the furniture was uncomfortable, aside from the bed, which was very nice. The bathroom was also very clean and well stocked. The kitchen however had nothing except cooking utensils. No coffee or creamer to welcome the guest, and no salt spices or cooking oil. For the price and what’s available from other Airbnb properties it wasn’t that great a deal in my opinion. I hope that Lucky Savannah takes this criticism onboard and makes adjustments. It could be a very nice place to spend a few days. (Other issues: No number on the door, and incorrect Wi-Fi info)

This is an adorable nicely decorated coach house rental. It's well located and easy to walk anywhere you need to go. We enjoyed our stay and found the logistics of checking in and out very easy. The app/ online features were terrific. We also arrived to town earlier than expected and were able to check in early. There were plenty of towels.

A few things to note: there is no dishwasher. Not a problem but I suggest adding a dish drying rack. There's plenty of room under the sink to store one. Also, consider a toilet paper holder; one could be put in the upward-facing direction (instead of sideways) between the shower and toilet. Also, since bar soap is providing in the bathroom and kitchen, its would be a good idea to add soap dishes. Lastly, the very large mirror in the bathroom is lighted like in hotels. However, it's was not working. We could hear the buzz but the light never went on. This made the bathroom a bit dark for applying makeup, for example. Not complaints, just suggestions. This is a very nice apartment and we would definitely stay there again if we travel to Savannah. Thank you!

Enjoyed my stay at the cottage. It was very clean and there were nice touches, like the toiletries and kitchen items. Fantastic location! Free street parking all around. The back door was unlocked when we arrived and we had to wait for someone to come lock it. The property management team handled it, but the communication could have been better. We had to call a couple of times to learn that we were waiting for the owner to come lock it, and they didn’t give us a time, so we were kind of left hanging. We didn’t feel safe leaving our stuff in the cottage unlocked and we had bikes outside and the car... it was definitely an inconvenient start to our trip. A steep staircase leads up to the cottage, and we had bikes so this posed a challenge. There was no place to put them or lock them up, except outside. Definitely don’t recommend for guests who have trouble with stairs. A few suggestions for the owner.. invest in blackout curtains for the bedroom. There is a street light outside that shines through the cracks of the blinds at night. Impossible to nap during the day. The bed is small and so is the pullout and the pullout is not very comfortable. This cottage is definitely just for 1-2 guests. Would have loved to see a few more kitchens items stocked, such as salt and pepper and coffee filters. These are not items that guests want to purchase when staying for a couple of days, but these small touches would greatly enhance the experience. I never watched TV because I couldn’t figure it out. Overall a really cute and well designed and furnished place. Can’t beat the location.

Very clean! We’ve stayed an several major hotels and this place was the cleanest. It’s like they cleaned for their family to stay there. Very comfortable an really enjoyed our stay. They had everything we needed an more than big hotels we previously stayed in.
