Spring Break Family Trip
Reviewed on 2024-03-15 by , Tampa, FL USThe charm is there but just fell short for us. Lipstick on glasses, chipped furniture and dirty floors didn’t make sense for the high cleaning fee that is charged. Street noise can be heard but was expected - pack ear plugs if you’re sensitive. Parking was never a problem and most attractions were 10-15 mins walk.

Great location - house needs some attention!
Reviewed on 2022-06-02 by Kirsten G. , United StatesBedrooms are great. Bathrooms are very old and we’re dirty. Not at all safe for a crawling baby - especially the stairs as they were missing bannisters.
Maybe we just had bad luck, but it was very dirty when we arrived. Lots of dirt on the stairs and on the main floor. The upstairs bathroom was moldy in the bathtub and there was dirt on the sink and countertop. Also a pile of dirty sheets was outside the laundry closet. The refrigerator inside was also dirty - sticky brown stuff on the shelves.
It was pretty expensive for how much we had to clean up before we could even unpack.
Overall, if it’s 2 adult couples it’d be a great stay as it’s walkable to most things.
Excellent location! Cute historic house. We were a group of 2 couples with 2 infants (one crawling). It was very tight in the living and kitchen space. Not sure how it would accommodate 8 adults as advertised. The living and kitchen are very dated and small.

Bedrooms are great. Bathrooms are very old and we’re dirty. Great get away at Juniper Cottage
Reviewed on 2022-04-20 by , Atlanta, GA United StatesWe had a very lovely stay at the Juniper Cottage in downtown Savannah. Home was quiet and comfortable; cable TV and internet were strong! The dog park was a short 4-ish blocks away. Parking that you didn't have to pay for was right out front. Larger appliance and kitchen utensils need to be updated though — knives and pans worn and dull; dishwasher was gross. Small appliances like coffee marker & toaster were new.

Communication with Lucky Savannah was amazing - on our first morning we realized the coffee pot was broken and they delivered a brand new one that morning! Really thoughtful and we were thrilled with our stay. Great location. Only note - the wifi is not super strong so if you plan to work from there at all, maybe go to a coffee shop or bring a hot spot.
Edge of historic Savannah experience
Reviewed on 2022-01-27 by Joseph S. , Louisville, TN USWe had an after Christmas family get together. This historical house was very cozy for our 7 members. It was a reasonable walking distance to the heart of Savannah. We found a Family Dollar store a few blocks away. We couldn't understand why the bathroom lights on the main floor would be bright then later dim. Was it a power issue? Then we found a very small slide next to the on/off switch that was a dimmer. The Lucky Savannah office is right across the street. The only tricky thing is parking on the street. Limited spaces which are open to the public. And you have to move your car on a certain day and time during the week to allow for the street cleaner. Make sure you check the sign on the street in front. There was only 1 garbage bag for our 5 day stay, so you might want to bring some or visit the Family Dollar.

The house is very cute with everything needed; comfy sofa & oversized chairs in L.R. , cute kitchen with pots/pans, dishes, etc. Cute little patio off kitchen. Upstairs.....if u are overweight or have bad knees, stay in the bedroom downstairs. Upstairs are 2 nice bedrooms, a cute lil bathroom & a washer/dryer. I loved all the lamps throughout the houseb so much more pleasanter than bright overhead lighting. The bathroom off the master downstairs has a dressing area with a table near a lovely window perfect for putting on your makeup. Nice shower/tub combo. Toilets all over historic downtown Savannah do not have good flushing capabilities for some reason, so hold the handle down til it all goes down. Don't overuse toilet paper or you'll clog the toilet. House is close to restaurants. Great Kroger just down the road if u go South on Broad St. This house is dog friendly too. We enjoyed our stay very much. Donna from Orlando

We had a credit from a previous cancellation that was automatically processed, all information included door codes was available when needed on the app, and there were periodic reminders that were timely but not overwhelming. The Cottage itself was everything promised and clean and near when we checked in. Location was great and parking was easy even though it was on the street. The Location is perfect for a Savannah stay & met our needs for 1 floor living (Mom is 80). The beds were clean, but that’s about it. Dog hair (I love animals) matted on pillows & ottoman, nasty looking liquid stains on pillows, black water drips & dirty footprints in shower, badly clogged sink & toilet, Ants discovered all our snacks, kitchen sink dirty, I bought lightbulbs. The worst part was when I was helping my Mom get ready for the day & a man Put in the door code & opened the door! Great house for a girls weekend!
Reviewed on 2018-03-28 by , Hartsville, SC United StatesThe location was good for our group, with a 1 mile walk to River Street which was pleasant during the warmer part of the day. We used cabs at night, which was about a $10 ride for 5 people. Of course a location right on River Street would be better, but this location was spot on for the price.
I have stayed in another rental from Lucky Savannah, and although it was a little more high end, this property was sufficient for a low key group. The kitchen amenities (pots, pans, cups) could use a refresh. We did have everything we needed though.
The only minor complaints for the weekend was the hot water, as 8 females showering at once made it run out quickly. We had to stagger our showers. It is understandable that 8 people can't shower on one heater, but it ran out in the first 2 showers, which was a little bit disappointing. Otherwise, the upstairs twin bedroom's door doesn't close, as the bed is in the way. This didn't bother us too much, but could be an issue for lighter sleepers or children.
Overall, we had a GREAT time and it was perfect for our group and a great deal! It was so much more fun to spend time in a house vs hotel rooms.

Wonderful In Every Way
Reviewed on 2018-03-28 by , VERO BEACH, FL United StatesLocation- While on the edge of the historic district, everything you'd want to explore there is within easy walking distance. Though it sits on a rather busy street, you rarely hear traffic noise. There is a nice meat market around the corner where you can stock up on supplies.
Cleanliness- Grade A
Comfort- It was as comfortable as your own home. All six of us settled in & felt at ease quickly.
Parking- It was never an issue. We all we able to park either right out front or just around the corner. Just check the signs for the days they clean the streets.
The Rental Staff- Lucky Savannah is top notch. They communicate well with you, quickly answer questions even on weekends, we're professional & curteous. They even have a nice app for your smart phone which you can download which has an abundance of info about the rental & about the area.
Misc- Kitchen was well stocked with just about every kitchen item you need to cook up a meal. Plenty of extra sheets & blankets, if needed. Spacious enough for 6 adults.
One item for light sleepers- given the age of the house (pre AC) the two bedrooms upstairs are cooked with portable AC units to help keep up with the load (the house does have central AC, but it seems to work best downstairs). The portable units did a great job of cooling, but they were a bit loud for a couple people. It was not a deal breaker, but worth noting for some.
I would absolutely stay here again!!

Everything was as it should have been, no problems. Parking was always available out front. We were easy walking distance to a wine bar and probably more, but we chose to drive most everywhere. There was some street noise occassionally at night, but I have found that to be the case at other rentals in Savannah as well. The price you pay for being near the action, I guess. The only suggestions I would mention is maybe add some quality mattress pads to the twin beds, as those mattresses could be more comfortable for adult bodies. And the door on the dishwasher is a bit testy, but a remarkably quiet dishwasher for a rental house. The instructions for the location of trashcans is a bit confusing too. But loved everything else. Great linens. Loved the app for info, and to lock/unlock the door, temp controls and check-in, check-out. Brilliant!

Juniper Cottage
Reviewed on 2016-12-13 by , Kathleen, GA United StatesBeds were comfortable and we had plenty of blankets and towels. We did request a set of sheets for the sofa bed, and they were promptly delivered. I had a few questions, and they were promptly answered by email or text.
Because of the high ceilings it was hard to maintain a constant comfortable temperature, we were continually making adjustments to the heat.(in all fairness, it was very cold in Savannah during out stay, I think a bit colder than usual.) If I could, I would give it 4.5 stars because of the heating unit.
We enjoyed shopping on Broughton, dinner at The Flying Monk, ice cream at Leopold's, breakfast at Goose Feathers to name a few, and a walk through the cemetery.
We visit Savannah at least 6x a year.
I would like to mention if guests are elderly and walks with a cane to beware there is a step up to the kitchen, and a step up to the upstairs bathroom. Plus the stairs to the 2nd floor are steep. It got a little tricky for my 78 year old mom, we did keep her downstairs.
We really had a nice stay. Great location, we were able to easily walk to Broughton Street and beyond(it was too far for my 78 year old mom to walk) Parking was easy and convenient, and we had 5 cars at times! We were able to park out front or right around the corner.
Beds were comfortable and we had plenty of blankets and towels. Fantastic Vacation!
Reviewed on 2016-09-06 by Carmen P. , Winston Salem, NC United StatesWe absolutely loved our experience staying in the Juniper Cottage. I couldn't believe how lucky we got- it's an adorable older home in a good area across from a school, and just a short walk to the hustle and bustle of downtown Savannah. The *only* downside is the kitchen table only seats 4, but we knew that going in. I would absolutely stay here again- fantastic experience!
Wonderful In Every Way
Reviewed on 2016-07-12 by , VERO BEACH, FL United StatesLocation- While on the edge of the historic district, everything you'd want to explore there is within easy walking distance.

Delightfully Carefree Cottage
Reviewed on 2016-04-27 by Cynthia B. , Jacksonville, FL United Statesthis adorable and spacious rental fit the needs of my party and myself as we embarked on a weekend Savannah adventure. Close enough to walk to all Savannah has to offer, but enough removed from the raucous nature of River Street, we experienced the best of both worlds. Going in the spring was the best as the jasmine bloomed. This cool cottage was the perfect retreat.

St. Patrick's Day Weekend
Reviewed on 2016-03-25 by , Fort Lauderdale, FL United StatesOverall would recommend for a large group that plans on spending most of their time exploring the town.
Nice accommodations for a large group. Reasonably priced given the special event weekend, a bit of a walk from the main area of town but most certainly walkable (I never used a car the entire weekend). Pull out sofa was not the most comfortable, but the rest of the sleeping quarters worked great.

Overall would recommend for a large group that plans on spending most of their time exploring the town.

Great Place!
Reviewed on 2015-06-02 by Karen K. , United StatesThe Juniper cottage was perfect for our visit to Savannah. Very clean and well appointed. The Lucky Savannah staff were a pleasure to work with and immediately available, even on the weekend. The location was a moderate walk to the things we wanted to do, including the Civic Center for the SCAD graduation. Broad Street seems to fully run across the city - so easy drive to everything as well. Would definitely stay there again.

Great house for a girls weekend!
Reviewed on 2015-03-31 by , Hartsville, SC United StatesThe location was good for our group, with a 1 mile walk to River Street which was pleasant during the warmer part of the day.
