Beautiful Location - Not Clean
Reviewed on 2022-06-09 by Brenna T. , Kennesaw, GA USThe location and look of this rental attracted us. It does look beautiful. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of work needed to keep this location up. In one of the rooms, there is a giant crack along the wall and ceiling that was concerning as an older structure was recently in the news that collapsed and killed several people. In another room, the curtain rod and curtains were falling off the wall, the headboard was leaning over where you lie your head and the bed was propped up on a small stack of wood. The floors were so dirty, all of our feet and socks were black. I don't enjoy giving poor reviews. I think this property could absolutely flourish and would love to see it cleaned up a bit. The only other issue was the windows are so thin, you could hear everything outside as if the window were open. There is a stoplight with a crosswalk outside one of the windows and you could hear the crosswalk timer all day/night.
Quick getaway with our adult kiddos
Reviewed on 2022-05-10 by Rhonda A. , Canton, GA United StatesWe planned a short stay in Savannah with our 4 grown kids to relax and reconnect. Savannah is one of our absolute favorites! The Corner Door Townhome was charming and nicely appointed. Plenty of room for everyone to have a bit of space. The location is convenient to many of the popular spots and restaurants in the Historic District. The only "hiccup" during our stay was that the stove was not working. Jamillah, from Lucky Savannah, handled the situation like a true professional! She is an absolute credit to this company. For all of our future visits to this beautiful city, we'll be using Lucky Savannah for accomodations.
Cute house
Reviewed on 2022-04-16 by , Catonsville, MD USThe house is very cute & perfect for a quick trip. It is a farther walk to River St than we expected. The wifi did not work during our stay & the street is very loud at night so I recommend a sound machine for sleeping.
corner door townhome review
Reviewed on 2021-10-07 by Judie J. , Arlington, MA United StatesMy three sisters and I were looking for a place with 4 bedrooms and this rental hit the mark. It was clean and had the right amenities for our 3 night stay. We were very impressed with the staff (located right down the street) who brought ice over when my sister had taken a nasty fall on a sidewalk nearby. However if you're looking for a good night sleep this rental is located on a corner of two busy streets which was very noisy especially for the two front bedrooms. Otherwise in a good location for touring around.
Great place for a bunch of people who want to walk
Reviewed on 2021-06-30 by , Charlotte, NC USWe were intrigued by the listing - an old general store! - and not disappointed by the space. Just about perfect for two families with two kids each. The four bedrooms and two full baths worked out great. Between the full kitchen/dining area and spacious living room, there was plenty of room to chill when we weren't out exploring, which was easy to do thanks to this place being on the edge of the historic district. Street parking was fine, and the traffic noise wasn't bad -- the occasional car radio blaring, but none of us lost sleep. And if you can believe it for late June in Savannah, the place was nice and cool -- central air, a unit in the main room and ceiling fans throughout. All in all, very convenient and comfortable. We absolutely would stay here again.
Great Location but noisy
Reviewed on 2021-04-21 by Ann-Margaret J. , Gainesville, GA United StatesWe loved staying in this very comfortable place. The downside is the noise. My bedroom was at the front and there are sirens, honking horns and revving of engines at night. At least one event woke me up each night and i have a noisemaker that i sleep with. Other than that, easy parking and very convienent.
A charming townhome with enormous potential
Reviewed on 2020-01-01 by Ronald C. , United StatesWe stayed at the location called "Corner Door Townhome", a four bedroom place on the corner of Broad and Liberty. Our party was four adults and two toddlers. The location is convenient as it provides quick access to major sights, although it is on the east edge of the historic district. Future travelers should be warned that the intersection of Broad and Liberty is VERY busy and the noise of the traffic continues throughout the night. Light sleepers will struggle. The townhome was charming and has significant potential. Overall we felt it needed some TLC as there were some easily (and cheaply) correctable issues with the place (several burned out bulbs, no pot holders in the kitchen, no reasonable knife for cooking, a sporadic thermostat, a broken bathroom exhaust fan, to name the most significant). Future travelers with mobility issues OR young children should be warned that the townhouse is on the second floor accessed by a 19 step staircase. While this was an annoyance for the oldest member of our party, it was a constant safety issue with the toddlers. While we will not return to this location, it could be quite nice for 2-3 couples traveling with older kids.

Great for family stay
Reviewed on 2019-12-28 by Joyce L. , United StatesThe Corner Door Townhome suited our group of 7 perfectly. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well equipped. It was an easy walk to restaurants, sites of interest, parks and River St. We got in the car once to go to Publix for groceries. Free street parking out front. Lucky Savannah was highly responsive to all questions. A great experience.

Mother and Daughters Trip
Reviewed on 2019-11-15 by Lynn L. , Ocean Springs, MS United StatesMy two sisters and I traveled with our 86 year old mother who is in very good condition. We enjoyed staying in the lovely home with each of us having our own bedroom. We loved the location but knew we would not be able to walk everywhere so we had a rental car. We were able to walk to several nearby restaurants for meals and shopping along Bull Street. The Rock and Roll Marathon was on the Saturday we were there and enjoyed watching from upstairs . Overall great experience! Would definitely recommend to others.
Great place to stay
Reviewed on 2018-08-03 by Pamela C. , Denmark, SC United StatesThis well equipped home is within walking distance to downtown. It was spacious and well decorated. You must go up a flight of stairs but that wasn’t a problem for us. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice historic home!
Reviewed on 2018-03-29 by , New york, NY United StatesWe had a lovely stay. We were in Savannah on a girls weekend and thought it was a great size. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and a nice open living room/kitchen area for hanging out. Highly recommend! Our only issue was that there were a few bugs...but I think that is just Savannah and old homes with old windows.

Why take a chance on another property when this one is perfect? Rates are reasonable too. Highly Recommend!

Nice Location; could use some updates
Reviewed on 2018-03-29 by , Chester, NJ United StatesOverall the townhome worked great for our family. The bedrooms are large; bathrooms were good sized as well; plenty of hot water for the large number of people. Living space was comfortable though we didn't spend a lot of time there. Walkable to a lot in Savannah; we enjoyed the location very much. Negatives include: TV/cable were poor; very little available and TV quality was bad. Kitchen not well stocked with enough dishes/glasses etc; no kitchen amenities: one dull knife, no coffee filters, no condiments, etc. If a guest is staying for 3-4 days, there should be adequate dishwasher soap etc. Adjust these items and I would review as very satisfied next time.

Husband's Birthday Weekend
Reviewed on 2017-11-14 by Carole G. , Suwanee, GA United StatesThe purpose of our visit to Savannah was to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. We have been to Savannah many times and visit at least once a year and usually stay at a hotel. Trying to find an available and affordable rental with 4 bedrooms was a challenge. This rental was great and perfect for our group. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are comfortable. Bathrooms can use some updating but were functional. The kitchen is small and has limited space so if you are trying to cook and serve meals for more than 4 people you need to be creative. The living room was spacious and had lots of seating. The television seems to have one channel (sports) and then options for Netflix, Hulu, etc. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out the TV. The women in our group did not care about the TV but the men were frustrated. The location of the house is right on the edge of the historic district. The streets surrounding the house can be very noisy and parking on the street is tough but there is an alley close by that usually has space. Overall, we were happy with the accommodations.

New Years in Savannah
Reviewed on 2016-01-22 by , Charlotte, NC United StatesAdorable and comfortable home. Loved the high ceilings and historic character. Very comfortable for our group of four. Minor maintenance issue handled promptly and with good cheer even on New Years Day. Please note that the property is on the corner of two busy streets and road noise is fairly significant. I'd encourage the property owners to provide white noise machines in the bedrooms to mitigate. Otherwise, bring your earplugs if you are sensitive.

Great home! Everything made easy!
Reviewed on 2015-10-28 by Jordan M. , Boca Raton, FL United StatesThis was the perfect little home! We had 8 adults and 2 children under 2. Everything was so easy and convenient! It was a little bit of a hike to get to the main downtown but a cheap uber ride took care of that. My mother was a little worried about the stairs with the two little ones. Amazingly we found a baby gate in a closet. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to a family of 8 (and 2 halves).
