Cohen House Review
Reviewed on 2024-04-09 by Jessica B. , United StatesThe house was more than we expected! So much space, beautiful, and tastefully decorated. We completely enjoyed our stay overall and would recommend the house to anyone that needs something large enough while being walking distance to downtown, and its lovely staying on the famous Jones street with all its beauty. The things that didn't make the house better were The twin beds and the queen bed on the 3rd floor, the mattresses were not the best, but doable. We were low on wash cloths however a few were brought over from the rental company. Be ready for exercise, this house has 3 levels of stairs, not counting the ones you encounter to get into the home, only wish it had at least a dumbwaiter to keep from going up and down, but the exercise was good.
Great House & Location
Reviewed on 2024-01-15 by Paula L. , Palm City, FL United StatesVery quiet. House is 3 floors which allows for quiet sleeping, yet gathering on the first floor without interrupting those on the 2nd or 3rd floor.
Had it been slightly warmer, the back courtyard is a beautiful space with seating too! There is 1/2 bath on 1st floor. Parking was not an issue. Easy to use app and pay for the day (8am-1pm, then again 1-5) Free parking after 5pm Friday. No fee on Saturday & Sunday. Also ample dishware and glasses. For our 3 night stay, had enough toilet paper, so the extra I brought, wasn't necessary. This was an amazing house for 8, very comfortable. Thank you

Great Place for Girls Trip
Reviewed on 2023-12-22 by Allison H. , Clover, SC United StatesThis was a great house that had everything we needed for a fun girls trip. Amazing Jones Street
Reviewed on 2022-07-26 by , Smithtown, NY United StatesThe Cohen House is a large home on Jones St. The location is perfect for walking to all places in Savannah. The home was large fir a big family but it needs to be updated with new furniture. The couch in the kitchen area can’t even keep the cushions on them. The kitchen set is old. The 2 other living rooms need new comfortable furniture. There is a rug going from the dining to the living room that needs to be taken out. It is rolled up on one end and people tripped over it especially the toddler with us. It smelled like fish in the mini kitchen and musty through out the house. I bought air fresheners to place in each of the rooms. The house is big and in a great location but needs updates inside and the back patio has cushions on the chairs that were old and full of green moss. You couldn’t sit out there.

Reviewed on 2022-06-22 by Ebbie R. , Cuyahoga Falls, OH USWe gathered with family and friends to celebrate a milestone birthday, and we thoroughly enjoyed the lovely and very spacious home. Our party of 7 each had a spacious bedroom suite. The kitchen met all of our needs with every gadget, pan, and glass we needed. The dining room table was perfect for our group and the common areas provided more than ample space to relax together or have quiet reflection.
60th Birthday Celebration Trip
Reviewed on 2022-06-12 by , Louisvillle, KY United StatesBeautiful historical home in a lovely neighborhood. Very convenient for walking throughout Savannah. The home is in much need of repairs and cleanup. We never even used the gardens because they were such a mess in the backyard. Walls need repaired, shower door and faucet need repaired some furniture needs replaced as all the feathers are coming out of the couch. Sadly the home is showing wear and tear and they're not maintaining it. You can't just rely on your historical building to please tenants. I hope that they invest some money into the property soon.

Multigenerational trip to Savannah
Reviewed on 2022-04-23 by Paige A. , Los Angeles, CA UnknownThe Cohen house was in a great location with the quintessential cobblestones and live oaks with moss out front. We walked to Forsyth Park and City Market (among others) from the property. With 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 4 kids we had plenty of room to spread out. While the home has been beautifully decorated, it needs some serious refreshing, top to bottom. Every bathroom has smudged, bubbled, chipped, peeling and/or missing paint. Every wall is scuffed, scratched, marked, splashed or otherwise marred. The furniture in the family room near the kitchen sheds an enormous amount of down feathers and the cushions can barely stay in place but mostly slide to the floor. The screen door on the family room sliding door has long since lost its connection to the frame and topples precariously if moved. The rug in the living room has a permanently curled area rug that is a serious tripping hazard for both the toddling and elderly set. It appears to have been tacked down at some point, but the tape is long gone. While superficially clean, orderly, and reeking of cleaning fluid when we arrived, the tired condition of the interior of this place seems not to have been maintained to the standard one would expect for the price and the pictures.

Wonderful Savannah Home
Reviewed on 2021-06-10 by , Amarillo, TX United StatesThis house is amazing! We had a family reunion in Savannah, rented three houses total. The Cohen House served as a hub for sitting around and visiting, eating breakfast before hitting the town for the day, and gathering in the evening to relax. With 21 people we never felt crowded here. And we loved the charm and decor! Very clean, well taken care of and overall just lovely!
Great location
Reviewed on 2021-04-28 by , Parkland, FL UnknownGreat location, but some maintenance issues. The front door could not be double locked, which is a security issue. The back door was also not secure. The back patio area had lots of uneven bricks and the furniture was not good.
The House is Beautiful
Reviewed on 2021-04-16 by , Lawrenceville, Confirme UnknownWe visit Savannah regularly and always have a great time. The location of this home on one of the 'most photographed streets' was beautiful. This is a historic home and you can tell. The architecture was terrific. My issue with the rental is there is one key for the door....and it is required to lock from both inside and outside. With six adults having different schedules, this made the rental very inconvenient, but we managed. I was extremely disappointed with the booking process. I had to follow up no less than 4 times to get my confirmation and then they tried to charge an extra $300 above the rental price. I had to call the office for a fifth time just to get the overcharge handled. That was WAY too much hassle even for this beautiful rental.

212 W. Jones Street, Savannah
Reviewed on 2018-10-24 by Margaret M. , Chicago, IL United StatesThe location was fabulous and certainly convenient to the historic district. The home was certainly spacious with 4 bedrooms 3.5 baths. However, the house had a musty smell and there was mold in the third floor bath and water stains in several locations in baths and bedrooms. The furniture (especially in room off kitchen) needs to be cleaned and the home needs a really good cleaning from top to bottom. In addition, the hair dryers need to be replaced and a box of kleenex should have been placed in each bath. The outside patio was in desperate need of cleaning. Also, due to filming a movie in front of 212 W. Jones Street, we were not able to be dropped off in front of the home; we had to walk a couple of blocks with our luggage to get to our destination. We should have been warned of the filming situation. One last comment, there are squirrels or some kind of animal in the walls of the master bedroom and third floor bedrooms.

Savannah Girls Getaway
Reviewed on 2018-04-15 by Linda W. , Asheville, NC United StatesThis is a perfect option for a small group like ours (up to five) traveling together that would like to not have to share a bed. The home’s location was fantastic and it was very bright and spacious. We loved being only a block away from Mrs Wilkes Dining Room and a block or so away from a DOT free shuttle stop. We parked our vehicle in a nearby parking garage and didn’t get in it again until the day we left. There is an outdoor patio we enjoyed one evening and an upper terrace that we regretfully never got around to taking advantage of. The kitchen was well stocked, and we loved being close to Brighter Day Natural Foods on the south side of Forsyth Park. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Jones.

Beautiful, large house!
Reviewed on 2017-03-30 by Debbi K. , Boston, MA United StatesWe didn't cook, but the kitchen is well stocked and there are 2 stoves. The only very minor complaint is that there were no paper towels, which we needed to clean the pollen covered outdoor furniture. The house itself was spotless. There is no parking, but it was easy to park at a metered spot out front. The meters are free on the weekends, just pay attention to the street cleaning on Fri night. The only other minor issue was that they wouldn't allow us to delay checkout by an hour unless we paid $50, despite the fact that the app said an hour delay would be free, and the website showed that no one was arriving for a few days. Again, not a big deal. We loved the house and definitely recommend it.
