Comfortable and memorable stay
Reviewed on 2023-11-21 by , South Elgin, IL United StatesFantastic location for easy walking to the historic district, as well as very close parks for your dog. We found handy free parking in the block between the property and Forsyth Park.
Refrigerator and stove were spotless. Extra coffee filters were provided, as well as a pack of local coffee. Plenty of kitchen utensils, but no hotpads (bring your own!).
Also, the digital confirmation is generic. It mentions pods for a dishwasher, but no dishwasher. It mentions detergent for washer, but no washer or dryer.
The space was just fine for our overall needs. Plenty of towels plus small soaps and shampoo. Soft linens.
Deep maintenance issues are long-standing (see other reviews). Deep clean needed on flooring; cleaning of rugs; and replacement of blinds.
We chose this location as comfortable for our fur baby, who passed before we arrived. Staff was very responsive in refunding our pet fee with empathy and courtesy.

Fantastic location for easy walking to the historic district, as well as very close parks for your dog. Great location
Reviewed on 2023-10-16 by Romeo C. , Lake worth, FL United StatesThis house is steps away from Forsyth Park which makes it very desirable. At first glance, the place looks clean, but could use a deep cleaning. Very thick layers of dust and dirt on window sills. There was a thick layer of dusty concrete under the brick wall and a couple of dead bugs. Management should do a better tidy. Other than that, the place has potential and is very charming.

Not what I expected
Reviewed on 2023-04-27 by , United StatesIt was way over priced and I wish I would have stayed at the other Airbnb I was at. I thought it would be a good idea to change places but Savannah is so walkable it wouldn’t have mattered.
Oh, the worse thing-the coffee cups were ALL dirty, stained. No excuse for that. There was no dishwasher but an sos pad would have cleaned them.
The dresser in the main picture is not there and the framed pictures still have the price tag sticker residue on them.
This place is steps from the beautiful Forsyth Park as advertised but it was old and run down. Savannah Ian Weekend
Reviewed on 2022-10-05 by , Greenville, SC UnknownThe oven door only opens 1/3 of the way due to the knobs sticking out on the kitchen cabinet to the right of the stove. Also, a slim drawer in those cabinets hits the handle on the stove when opening it. You can get it open with effort. The house could stand a deep cleaning and the area rugs, also in keeping with the historic feeling, need a good cleaning. The final and obvious thing is the chewed-up blinds on a window that faces the front door, so it is one of the first things that you notice as you enter the space.
Unfortunately, the most disturbing thing was the discovery of obviously dirty and unwashed dishes in the cabinet. There were coffee splashes and lipstick on the cups and food stains on several plates.
On the upside, the bed was comfy, the shower worked well, the location is awesome, and the management company responded IMMEDIATELY to my email concerning the dirty dishes. Our stay overall was great, there was adequate internet and cable connections to watch our college team play and easy access to parks, stores, and eateries.
With some care, this venue could easily have been a five-star rated stay.
I rated our stay a 3 with an explanation. The carriage house space is very cozy and charming and in keeping with the character of the historic district in Savannah. With a little help, it could easily be a premier space. As with all historic district houses, there are some quirks that you would expect but there are also some things that need to be refurbished.
The oven door only opens 1/3 of the way due to the knobs sticking out on the kitchen cabinet to the right of the stove. Time for a deep clean and a bit of training
Reviewed on 2022-08-02 by , Gainesville, FL, FL United StatesI understand that everyone has a bad day and sometimes things get missed. Don't get me wrong, we love this place and I know it's hard to get people to work but there were a few too many cleaning issues. I knocked a slipper under the bed and a family of gnomes could have been hiding under the bed and you would have never seen them. The house was very dusty but the best part was I couldn't figure out why the fitted sheet kept slipping off the top of the bed. I completely stripped the bed and found out the fitted sheet was put on side ways so the bottom and top of the sheet would not stay on the bed. Also, someone's dog has chewed up the blinds. This was a bit awkward having pieces of the blinds missing and constructions workers walking by. Saying all this, please give this cottage a chance and hopefully they will do some retraining with their staff. Even after this, we will continue going back to this sweet cottage.

If you're staying for more that a day or 2, call the Mobility and Parking Services on 100 East Bryan Street and get a parking pass so you're not feeding the meter. As of now, you have to set up an appointment. My only suggestion would be a notebook in the cottage with some helpful ideas.

It’s challenging to convey what a fantastic time we had at Cobb’s Cottage. The apartment itself is charming, warm, and cozy, and the proximity to Forsyth Park cannot be beaten; however, it was the host who stole our hearts. Chris offered suggestions on where to dine, what to see, and was always a call or text away to help answer our questions or make our stay more pleasant. He indeed went above, and beyond expectations of a host, and by the time we left, it was sad to say goodbye. We consider ourselves quite lucky to have been invited over for a happy hour, meeting all the lovely neighbors,
and being welcomed back with open arms.
